Somin and Junu
Somin waited for Junu to gather his stuff after class.
"Do you have plans for the rest of the day?" she asked him.
"Working." He smiled innocently.
"Do you want to draw with me at my place? We could rotate, standing each other as models. I need to train really badly," Somin asked.
After yesterday's endeavors weren't presentable at all. She was adamant to push through the mess in her head.
Junu looked at his watch.
If I lie to the chauffeur I could make the late appointment at 20.00.
"Yeah, I've got the whole afternoon."
"Are you alright with helping me with something else?" Junu made wider eyes in surprise."It depends," he tried shyly.
"We would have to stop at the specialized drugstore." Somin pointed at her hair with noticeable black roots in the middle.
"I don't know how this works," Junu answered.
"Me neither, we have to learn as it goes. If you want I can give your hair some color too," she teased and Junu's heart jumped.
Mum would kill me. If I'll hide at least one hairlock, I'll get my tiny personal freedom at home.
"Sounds cool to me, I don't mind pink,." He winked daringly.
"I don't have a pink in mind," she answered.
...
In a drugstore Somin picked three colors, "What do you think? Should we make a gradient?" grabbing light and dark green from a shelf, thinking about adding yellow.
Like a summer meadow.
"We'll try," he laughed softly, all excited.
The colors in a shop were catching the young boy's eyes like crazy, so many shades, "I don't want to push, but you could take it further," said Junu, handing her bright red matte lipstick and liquid eyeliner.
"I don't have the balls to pull this off," Somin made a swatch of the red shade on her forearm, drawing a tiny heart, like a second tattoo.
That's bright, this shade looks so velvety tho. And it's unkissable.
Don't think about him, oh no. He did confess, right? I need to relax and not think about that.
Her heart pounded as she pushed the unresolved issue back.
"Consider it a gift." The young friend winked. "You can pull it off," Junu mouthed.
"Thank you," she mouthed at him inaudibly.
Get out old me. Little fun never hurt anybody.
The introverted friends walked sluggishly slowly through the city in the direction of dorms and chatted. Somin gaped at the window shops, lowkey looking for new attire.
