Mia and Kyumin

Mia hadn't cared much for the art department's ritual and apparently, some other students had more important things to do too, seeing them leaving the room in preparation for the freshman meet-and-greet. It was mandatory only for the newly added artists and Teho with some other seniors was adamant he had to attend.

He'll just gonna boost his ego. Mia thought.

Going away to join the commotion of seniors around the bar in a second room.

The gorgeous dancer in a tight dress flowed to the counter to order wine. Her long hair shined after she washed and sprayed it with a sparkly moisturizer. The room was smaller and packed with people. A cacophony of countless conversations made it seem like a party and Mia loved it. She caught a glimpse of the table where familiar faces sat and waved at them. An older man at the bar prepared the drinks with an unbothered expression and Mia stood in a long queue waiting impatiently for her turn.

Soft shadows covered her hands, while she looked at her newly applied polish and something caught her eye. In front of her stood a boy in red pants, a black shirt with matte buttons, and a stylish jacket sewn from different materials. The clashing patterns were eye-pleasing and his broad shoulders were accentuated by the shape of the jacket. Brown hair flowed around his face and dark eyes shamelessly looked her up and down.

"Hi..." Mia smiled, "... Kyumin," she addressed him, knowing he hadn't disclosed his name. Kyumin smirked back at her, beer in his hand.

She found out my name, huh? He smiled.

"The queue is long," he said, closer to her ear so she heard him better.

"What can I do?" She shrugged her shoulders, and he handed her his drink. The dark beer was in a tall glass.

Mia, being flirty and cheeky after a fun day, accepted and had a sip.

Is this some kind of appointing ceremony? Mia wondered.

"Wanna go out on the fresh air?" he asked, cigarette in hand swaying as he played with it.

Mia composed herself quickly.

There's time until dinner.

She nodded and let him lead her away.

...

The quiet boy took off his jacket and placed it on the bench situated on the porch. Gesturing to Mia to sit down.

Alright, what's going on?

The quiet sculptor sat close to her and offered her a cigarette from his pack.

"I don't smoke," Mia declined.

Although she occasionally had a cigarette as the social situations brought it up front and not taking one meant to be secluded and separated from the fun. She liked the taste somewhat and a plus was the realization that the most outrageous rumors were spread on the cigarette breaks anyways.
