Somin and Junu

After the first shock settled in, the pain subsided a bit, but still, it kept on reappearing. Somewhere sharper, sometimes dull, anyway constant.

"How are you holding up miss?" the man asked.

"It's... bearable," Somin said softly. Like I'm on the brink of screaming.

"The first stage is done, you can see there isn't much bleeding, that's good." He cleaned out the wound.

"Now I'll change the needles to these ones..." He showed her a larger comb of needles, "... to start shading inside, alright?" he patiently explained everything.

"Hm," Somin answered, enjoying a break, her skin crawling with the sensation of pins and needles.

"Is it alright if my friend came in?" she asked out of nowhere.

"No problem, miss."

...

Junu came up to the tattoo parlor's door.

What is she doing here?

When he reached and opened the door it felt forbidden.

Teho glared from the corner with an open mouth.

The fuck just happened?

Sipping his take-out coffee, purchased in the meantime, extra sweet.

I never drink this sweet coffee.

The confused photographer couldn't recall when he put the sugar in.

...

Here we go again, lord help me, my leg is irritated from the outlines and the shading is making it worse.

The needles were going deep into already painfully sensitive skin.

"Does it hurt too much?" the big man asked politely.

"I can handle it, thank you," the pale girl answered.

He gave her another glass of water to drink. Somin gripped the arm of the seat hard, trying not to twitch her leg.

Fuuck! Shiitt! It hurts like a motherfucker!

Brain protested. It also made her strangely pleased to be hurting this much. It had a very addictive quality, such pain made her feel euphoric for some unknown reason.

Now I am sweating like a pig, great.

...

Junu thought about the hall art while he walked down to the basement, no questions asked, just curiosity.

Interesting, I didn't know a tattoo design could be this artistic.

He knocked on a door and the big guy opened up to the stoic boy, Junu wasn't shocked at all.
