Florence POV

It's been an hour since Lizzie and Robbie had dropped Aurora back off at the house. Anastasia had went upstairs shortly after and has been on an important call ever since.

Aurora also ran off again, I think she is still on the phone talking with Papa Paul like she has been for the last little bit or she is now up to no good. I got tired of just sitting on the couch scrolling through socials, but I also didn't want to bother either of them.

So I decided to just get up from the couch and tidy up the kitchen. It wasn't a mess, but I honestly just wanted to do something other than twiddle my thumbs or scroll endless through my social media.

I quickly tidied up anything that was on the counter and put the things back away where they belonged. I was still bored. I needed something else to do.

"Oh the fridge", I thought to myself before smiling a little. I'm probably going to regret this decision, I could've just went for a nap but no.

I walked over before opening the fridge door. I sighed as I slowly went through it, reorganizing some of the items, since most has probably gone bad or needs to be tossed.

I did a mental check to see what all we might need or will need. When I realized that we definitely need to do a grocery shop before closing the fridge.

I walked over to the drawer that Anastasia has deemed as the "junk" drawer to grab a notepad and a pen.

I reopened the fridge and started making a list. I wrote down the typical things, like fruits/vegetables, eggs, milk, and anything else. I made sure to write juice as well because Aurora loves her juice more than anything.

I closed the fridge and quickly went through the freezer. I quickly wrote down that we need more bread, chicken and any other kind of meat that we have none of that I could think of. I closed the freezer and went over into the pantry.

I jotted down for more cereal, crackers and snacks for Aurora's lunches for school. Since she goes back next week. I made sure to write anything else that I thought was important. I walked out of the pantry and stood at the island.

I went through the list and made sure that I wasn't forgetting anything. I tore the paper off the note pad and left it on the island. I opened the drawer to quickly put the notepad and pen away.

I turned to grab a glass from the cabinet before going over to the fridge to get myself a glass of water to drink. I filled my glass with some ice before filling it up with some water. I turned slightly to put the glass on the background.

I turned to do find something else to do when suddenly I saw Aurora standing there, making me jump a little. I didn't even hear her walk into the kitchen and she usually says something when she walks in a room. Maybe she did and I wasn't paying attention.

"Hey honey, what're you up too?", I curiously ask and she smiles a little.

"I'm sorry for scaring you mommy. I just got hungry, and wanted to grab a snack", she says as I smile.

"It's okay, I wasn't expecting someone to be standing there. What would you like to snack on honey?", I ask and she shrugs before waltzing herself into the pantry.

I heard her moving things around before she walked out with an unopened pack of Oreos. She looks at me with a proud smile before walking over to the dining table.

"Did you want a glass of milk to go with your Oreos?", I ask her and she nods.

I laugh a little as I grab a plastic cup, putting it down on the island counter. I open the fridge and grab the carton of milk from the side. I quickly check the date and smelt it to make sure it's not sour.
