Aurora POV

I walked towards the paddock, the nerves of the race barely hanging on anymore. I was ready to be behind the wheel, to start this new season off with my team. I had signed with Ferrari after finishing my Formula One Academy. I had the best coach my entire life leading up to the Academy.

Both my uncles Charles and Lewis were always on my side, Uncle Lewis was my trainor slash coach and Uncle Charles was now the team principal for the Ferrari team. It was exhilarating to be working alongside both.

I mean I don't think there's any form of special treatment and my teammate Maria doesn't think so either as she also thinks of them as Uncles. Maria and I became close during the Academy, we were the only ones that never had bad blood.

Others had issues with everyone, but we vibed and clicked together. Maria didn't look at me like my mums were famous, she looked at me like I was human. She was becoming a dear friend and now we're inseparable.

Her fiancee Nate is amazing though too, he comes to watch and cheer us both on. I haven't lucked out on meeting my future partner, I don't have a specific type. My mums raised me that love is love, so I kind of just go by if we have chemistry.

I don't care for genders, pronouns or anything of that sort. I had to get into my uniform still, I was wearing my usual clothing. I knew my mums, my siblings and my aunties with my cousins would be here today in the paddock.

They'd be going up to the vip section soon enough, I knew that they all wanted to wish me luck on my first race. I slowly made my way into the garage before seeing my team, they all pointed to the back room.

I walked towards it and entered before seeing my new suit, I smiled brightly as I pulled it off the hanger. I looked at the suit and smiled brightly as I grabbed the nomex suit before going into the bathroom to put it on.

I loved the smell of new Nomex suits, it kind of gave off new car smell. It was weird but I liked it, I slipped it on over my sports bra before zipping it up. I looked at myself in the mirror before stepping out to grab my suit.

I had braided my hair as it was more comfortable under the helmet. I slipped on my suit before zipping it up and slipping on my racing shoes. I picked up my helmet and carried it as I walked out of the locker room.

I made my way past my team, the smiles on all of their faces as I walked past them. I smiled back as I made my way towards my car.

I saw everyone standing there before my siblings Celeste and Sirius walked straight towards me, I hugged them tightly as they smiled at me. They were now almost sixteen which is scary to even think about, they are almost sixteen and I am almost twenty three.

I hugged them before hugging my cousins, Alessandra and Francesca hugged me before Xavier and then I looked at Livia. Alessandra and Francesca were almost sixteen also, Xavier turns fifteen next year and Livia just turned twelve.

I knew they all looked up to me, mostly Avi as he has been watching every race in preparation for this race. I knew he would want a tour of the garage, so deep down I had decided he'd be allowed to stick around.

"Avi, would you like to stay in the garage with the team?", I ask him and his eyes lit up immediately like a Christmas tree when you plug the lights in.

"If that's okay with Aunties obviously?", I ask as I looked at them and they both nodded before he hugged them.

"Alright guys why don't we head up to the upper level", Auntie Stef says and everyone followed her before Mama walked over.
