You had left Eddie's after staying there for a few hours. The two of you smoked and talked. You talked a bit about your mom and he talked a bit about his dad. It was nice to have someone to open up to. Of course you talked to Billy sometimes but you never felt as though he was really listening.
Eddie was different. He had real responses that showed he was listening. He added things in the conversation that showed you he could relate. He maintained eye contact with you as you spoke and you felt seen. He would throw in a joke here and there to lighten the mood. Your "talks" with Billy always just ended in sex. Which was always great, but you wanted more than that sometimes.
You found yourself at one of your secret spots you liked to go to think. It was a beautiful waterfall in the middle of nowhere. You had found it one day when you were younger, exploring the woods. It quickly became the place you would go to escape your problems. You sat on a rock listening to the water run peacefully. Your thoughts were jumbled and your head was a mess. You felt guilty, you felt happy, you felt torn. You loved Billy, you always have, but there was something about Eddie that you just couldn't shake.
Billy was arrogant, bossy, and sometimes he had an angry side that scared you a little. He had never hurt you though. He was also sweet, exciting, and god was he beautiful. He could be tender when he wanted to be. And the sex, well the sex was incredible. You thought he loved you but there were many times where he made you question it. He was your first love and you were obsessed with him. He wasn't perfect but neither were you.
Eddie was free, wild, and spontaneous. He made you feel like you could do anything together and it would be fun. He made you laugh, real genuine laughs. He was like a magnet pulling you towards him. Ever since your kiss you craved his touch. You wanted his lips on yours again. You wanted to taste him once more. He slowly had begun to take over your thoughts.
You were, well, you were really fucking confused. Your heart was being pulled in two different directions, like a game of tug of war. It wasn't a fun game. You had no idea what you were going to do. Was it possible to love them both? You groaned laying back on the rock and staring at the sky, thoughts of both of them swirling in your head.
