The next day you and Eddie headed back to Hawkins. Last night was insane. You and Eddie couldn't get enough of each other. Some of the sex was sweet and tender and some of it was rough and animalistic. It was amazing but you were exhausted today.
Eddie pulled over for gas. "You wanna run and grab some drinks while I fill up?" he said pulling out some cash. "I don't even think I can walk today, Eddie," you groaned. He chuckled lightly, "Hey, don't blame me. You're the one who couldn't keep her hands to herself all night." "Oh, whatever!" you laughed smacking his arm.
He wasn't wrong though. You had an insatiable hunger for him. You took the money from his hand and leaned over and kissed his cheek. He pulled you back in and gave you a kiss on the lips instead. You climbed out of the van and walked towards the store. God, you were sore.
You grabbed a couple drinks and headed to the counter. You heard the song playing through the speakers. 'Oh, girl, you stand by me. I'm forever yours, faithfully.' Fuck. Of course Billy had crossed your mind but you kept trying to push those thoughts away.
You were having a great time with Eddie and even though everything was a mess, he was what you needed right now. But you couldn't shake seeing Billy looking at you with those sad eyes. Seeing him cry had hurt worse than when he screamed at you.
You walked back to the van and got inside. Eddie pulled off as you lit a cigarette. "You okay?" Eddie asked searching your face. "Mmhmm, just tired." you gave him a small smile. He reached to grab your hand and you linked your fingers through his.
You listened to the radio, smoked a joint, and took a little nap. You stared out the window, knowing you were getting closer to home made your stomach nauseous. Home, back to an empty house. A house full of two years of memories with Billy, good and bad.
It was easier to ignore it being away. The closer you got to home, the more your heart ached. Your relationship with Billy was crazy, it had been since the beginning. But you never thought you would see the day that you actually broke up.
And now things with Eddie had escalated even more. You missed Billy. You missed his lips. You missed his grumpy morning attitude. You missed the way he held you when you slept and played with your hair. You even missed how mad he made you. And you missed the make up sex that always followed.
You knew you had intense feelings for Eddie, feelings you weren't really ready to unpack. You didn't know what these last couple days had meant but you didn't regret them. You saw your driveway up ahead. In it, sat Billy's Camaro.
"Eddie, just turn around," you said panicking. "Nah, we need to deal with this." he responded continuing down the drive. You groaned. Eddie came to a stop and Billy stepped out of the car. Your heart sped up. Part of you wanted to run into his arms and the other part wanted to turn around and run away again.
"Munson!" Billy bellowed loudly when Eddie stepped out of the van. "Just the man I was looking for." he said taking a drag of his cigarette. He didn't look your way at all, though he knew you were there. Eddie walked towards him. They came face to face. "Well, here I am." Eddie said throwing his arms out wide. This was not good.
