A few days had went by since you had met Eddie in the woods and he had been on your mind a lot. He was so gentle, and funny and unequivocally himself. You couldn't stop thinking about him. He was so different from Billy who walked around in a bad mood most of the time. He was so worried about his "image." But he was different with you. You would see a softer side to him sometimes.

He was also a dick, a lot. You tried to forgive him for cheating before. It had been a long time and he swore it was only once but you could never truly trust him. It didn't help that girls were throwing themselves at him all the time. Every time you turned around there was another blonde headed bimbo giggling at everything he said. You had only spent a short amount of time with Eddie, so why couldn't you get him out of your head?

There was a party tonight that Billy wanted to go to. You didn't even know the person throwing the party and you weren't really in the mood but you wanted to go to make him happy. You looked in your closet for something to wear. You grabbed a red spaghetti strap dress. It would do. You pulled your hair up into a messy bun with just a few strands hanging lose around your face. You paired it with your black combat boots.

You heard the front door open. You walked out expecting it to be Billy. It was your mom. Wonderful. You tried to walk past her and out the front door but she stepped in front of you. "I don't get a hello." she said. "Hello, mother. So happy you're home," you said sarcastically, "I was just on my way out." Your mother was hardly a mother at all. She tried sometimes but she honestly just shouldn't have had children.

She was always chasing some man around since your dad left when you were 6. She would leave for months at a time until her new relationship undoubtedly failed. "Well I missed you and it would be nice if we could talk for a minute." your mom said. "Look mom, I'm sorry things didn't work out with you and Jim, no wait, Dave? Either way I don't really have the time for this right now. Maybe I'll catch you next time you decide to pop in." you said walking out the door.

You were happy to see Billy leaning against his car waiting for you. Your mom stepped out on the porch. "Y/n wait!" your mom called after you. You ignored her and slid into the passenger seat. "Mrs. Y/l/n." Billy said nodding his head her way before getting in the car.

"You wanna talk about it?" Billy asked you as you pulled out of the driveway. "Nope." you responded bluntly, placing your hand on his thigh. Eventually you arrived at a big house. It was incredibly crowded and you immediately felt like you couldn't breathe. The music was blaring and you could hear it from the road. You walked inside, Billy's arm around your waist. Many people came up to greet the two of you. You didn't really like any of his friends but you were always polite.

"You want a drink, babe?" Billy asked you. "Sure," you responded smiling. He walked away to go find the alcohol. It was then that you spotted Eddie across the room. Your stomach fluttered. He was standing in the corner talking to someone. You saw the guy hand Eddie some money and Eddie slipped something in the guys hand. Very smooth. You thought, smiling to yourself.

He looked up and saw you looking at him. He gave a goofy smile and waved. You waved back to him returning his smile. You felt an arm come around your shoulders. Billy handed you a beer. "Thanks babe." you said leaning up to give him a kiss on the cheek. When you looked back over towards Eddie, he was gone.

You followed Billy out the back door where a crowd stood outside around a keg. Billy raised his eyebrow at you. "Go show 'em how it's done, King." you winked at him. He kissed your cheek and jogged over to the keg. You decided to take a walk to get some peace and quiet away from everyone else. You saw a bench under a tree a little ways away. You sat down and lit a cigarette, inhaling deeply. A few minutes passed when you heard a voice from behind you.

"Mind if I join you?" It was Eddie. "Of course not." you smiled at him. He sat down next to you. "You're missing the miraculous keg stands of your boyfriend, you know?" he said in an amused tone. "Oh, no!" you said in mock worry. "I couldn't miss such a thing." you joked. He laughed. "So you and Hargrove are still a thing, huh?"  he asked you. "Yeah... going on two years now." you said kinda awkwardly. It felt weird talking to him about this. You also couldn't stop staring at his lips.

"You guys don't make sense." he stated bluntly. "And why is that?" you asked him. "Well, for one, he's a complete dick." he said and you giggled. "And how do you know I'm not a raging bitch?" you said looking him in the eyes. "You're not." he said matter of factly. "I have an idea!" he said standing up abruptly. "I happen to know that Mr. Bigshot over there," he pointed towards the house next door, "has a pool and he is currently occupied by the keg over here." He pointed up to the party. "I didn't realize this was your crowd." was all you replied because you weren't sure exactly how to respond.

"They're some of my best customers." he said patting his little lunchbox. "So, what do you say?" he said, his eyes gleaming. He reached out a hand. "Or will your boyfriend be mad?" he asked smirking at you. I shouldn't. You reached up and took his hand. "He won't even notice I'm gone." you replied heading down the hill, your hand in Eddie's.

You came upon a fence. Eddie knelt down and put his hands together for you to step on. You grabbed the top of the fence as he lifted you up. You landed gracefully on the other side. "A lot of practice with this?" Eddie laughed as he hoisted himself up and joined you on the other side. "I am a woman of many talents." you laughed taking a bow.

The pool was beautiful. You walked over and dipped your hand in it. It was a bit chilly but not too bad. You looked back to see Eddie removing his jacket, then his shirt. Oh. You stared at his tatted up torso. "Hey, hey, my eyes are up here." he said jokingly. You blushed and turned away. He removed his jeans, leaving him in his boxers. He ran and jumped doing a cannonball into the pool.

He came up out of the water smiling and shaking his head. "Your turn." he said cheerfully. You slowly removed the straps of your dress and let it drop to the concrete, leaving you only in your underwear. Eddie looked you up and down, his lips parted. "Wow, y/n. You look..." Eddie started before being interrupted as you jumped in the pool next to him. You felt the rush of the water. It was incredible. The two of you talked and joked and splashed around. You were having so much fun. It had been a while since you had felt this free.

"Wanna race?" Eddie said mischievously. "Oh, you're on." you replied smiling. The two of you took off towards the deep end of the pool. You reached the end just before he did. You cheered dramatically for yourself. You both had one hand on the edge of the pool holding yourselves up.

"What's my prize?" you said looking into his eyes. "Whatever you want it to be." he responded, getting slightly closer to you. You reached up and ran your thumb across his lips. Suddenly his lips were on yours. It was a soft kiss. He pulled away. "Sorry I shouldn't have.." he started. You grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him back to you. Your lips met again.

It was gentle at first but became heated quickly. You knew you shouldn't be doing this but you couldn't stop, you didn't want to stop. His free hand came to your face and you could feel his cold rings against your cheek. You wrapped your legs around him in the water pulling him as close as possible. You were completely lost in each other for what felt like forever. He held you close and you bit his lip lightly. "Shit." he breathed against your lips.

"Eddie.." you were interrupted suddenly when you heard voices from behind the fence. Shit. Apparently you weren't the only ones with this idea. You both climbed out of the pool quickly and grabbed your clothes and a towel that was on the lounge chair. You managed to make it to the other side of the yard as the gate opened. You both dried off as best you could and walked back up to the party.

"I'm sorry about that." Eddie said softly as you were walking. "No, I... I liked it." you said gently, "I had so much fun." You reached over and squeezed his hand. He smiled at you. As you got closer to the party you heard "Faithfully" by Journey blasting through the speakers. You groaned in your head. Oh, the irony.
