There was a huge gust of cold air rushing towards Lincoln and I as we approach the library. I opened the door and allowed him in first before I walked in. I closed the door and the bell rang from the door. Lenard looked at me with a smile then looked at Lincoln as he went through the isles. I shivered and walked to the counter.

"Who is the kid?" he asked.

I smiled. "Thats my kid. Not by blood of course, I am seventeen, but I still consider him my child. I have two more at home."

He looked at me surprised then looked back at Lincoln. "He is already looks like your child besides the hair. Already a bookworm."

I laughed. "He told me I was the reason for his liking of books. I would read to them the first week they stayed with me."

"How did this happen?"

"Well," I turned around towards him. "They lived in this abandoned building down the dark alley close to the bakery. Laurie helped me find them because we were looking for Alex. We just found out our parents took a liking to each other so it was kind of odd."

He nodded. "I heard about that."

I rolled my eyes. "Of course you have. But I took the three kids in. I gave them names and now they are apart of my family." I looked at Lincoln. "They always have been."

I just looked at Lincoln as he reached for a book. I hadn't read it yet, but I knew I wanted to. I needed more books after bringing all the other ones back before the Thanksgiving dinner. He was surprised seeing me bring all of them back and now I wished I didn't because Lincoln would've liked some of my books I had picked out. I turned back to Lenard and smiled. "He is such a smart kid. You would've never thought he lived most of his life on the streets. Then don't get me started on Ashton. He is like a little sweetheart and definitely a lady's man. He always flirts with older woman thinking he is grown."

He laughed and just listened. He always listened.

"Then we have Annemarie."

"You named her after your mom?"

I smiled and nodded. "Of course I did. She would've adored her so much. She is like a real life angel. She has this smile that is so contagious and she took her first steps not too long ago. When she called me mama I broke down. I am not sure what I did to deserve such wonderful kids."

He smiled. "You deserve every good thing that comes to you. I am just surprised you haven't met the right man yet."

I rolled my eyes. "Even if I do. I don't think he'll be able to top my love for them."

"I knew you'd be such a good mother."

I looked at Lenard and smiled. "And I knew you'd be such a good library owner."

We both laughed and Lincoln came back with an arm full of books. I laughed and began helping him place them on the counter. He smiled up at me and looked at Lenard. "Well look at this. We have another Williams who loves books."
