16. What do we have here?

"A half demon?" The master asked.

Y/n nodded.

It was a week after Rengoku and y/n went to the village. After y/n got some sleep, she decided to go with Rengoku to talk with the master.

"I believe my mother will give me information we need to defeat Muzan. But it won't be easy. I don't even know where she is." Y/n looked down at her knees.

She thought about how her mother became a demon in the first place. But her father was human. So y/n was certain that she needed to find them to get some answers.

"Hmm." The master wondered. "I am grateful that you are so determine to take down Muzan. But I'm afraid I have to deny your request for finding her."

"What?! Why?" Y/n aksed. She told him that she needed answers.

"I know you want answers. But I believe for the sake of you and your family, I think it's best you wait for answers. It's not the best time." The master out simply.

" . . . I understand, Master." Y/n didn't really understand. But she didn't want to argue with the master. "I'll be on my way then." She got up and walked out.

Rengoku was waiting for y/n to get out. He went up to her as he saw her walk out.

"How did it go." He spoke with his signature smile.

"He said no."

"Oh I see. Well you can't argue with the masters request."

"I guess."

"So are you going home?" Rengoku asked.

Y/n nodded. "He gave me the day to rest. Even though I've been resting all week." Y/n walked off after saying goodbye.

Rengoku has a mission he needed to get done.

Y/n made it to the Uzui residence. She walked in the dojo to see Tengen meditating.

'So unlike him'. Y/n smirked as she tip toed to him. Sneaking up behind him.

Before she tapped his shoulder to scare him, she grabbed her hand and flipped her over.

"Tengen 5, y/n 0."

Y/n groaned as she got up. "What's wrong?" He asked. Y/n looked at him and frowned.

They went to get some tea and sit down. Y/n explained everything that happened last week. How her mother was a demon. How the demon got away again. How her sister died. And how she could regenerate.

"A half demon?" Tengen mumbled.
"I understand if you see me differently. I know that I'm a freak to nature-"
"No it's not that." He interupted.

Y/n looked at him. A string of her (h/l)(h/c) hair covered her eye.

"Its just so weird." Tengen said. "How can a demon have children?!" He shouted.

"H-huh?" 'Thats what concerns him?!' Y/n wondered.

"I mean a demon can live for more than 1,000 years! But then how long can you live?!" He looked at her.

"Huh?!"

"Do half demons have a life limit? Or do they live forever?!"
"I don't know?!"

"But actually, I really don't mind if you are a half demon." He said in a more calmer tone. Y/n looked at him with wide eyes.

"You are still human. Even if you can regenerate. That's useful in the demon corps. And you don't crave blood. So that's good."

Y/n was surprised that he was so chill about it. "I mean it's kinda shocking to find this out. But you've lived with us for like what, 2 years? But in that time, you grew as a human. No blood line can change that." Tengen reassured her.
