Everyone left home, the children are at school and the parents are busy at work. Today was not just any normal day. Today is the day Tom was going to ask out his crush. Most people would find it strange for a six year old boy to fall in love, let alone be into girls this early in his life. The biggest stereotype people have about little boys was that they think all girls have cooties. But Tom was not like that at all.

He loves and respects women. Despite his sisters making jokes about him and being annoying, he always treats women with respect. Which was really mature for a six year old boy.

He does not want to be the type of boy that treats women poorly or change who he is to impress a certain girl. He's a boy that loves to eat and have fun, that what makes him enjoy life and no one was going to change that.

Right now, it's his perfect opportunity to ask out Jenny. She's a six year old Caucasian girl and he has been laying his eyes on her for a while. But he never found a way to talk to her or attempted to ask her out. She was one of the popular kids in first grade. He was afraid that she would not give him the time of day.

But he stopped overthinking and made the decision to make his move. It's lunch period for the first graders. He was thinking that it was now or never. So he walked up to the lunch table she was sitting at. She was with all of her girlfriends. He was mesmerized by her beauty, which made his heart beat. She noticed him looking at her, but she was not pleased seeing him.

"Umm... What do you want?" She asked, looking at him with disgust and embarrassment. All of her girlfriends were gossiping among themselves.

"H-hi..." his voice cracked. It was obvious he was nervous, but he was not backing down.

"My name is Tom, I don't know if you know me or not. I wanted to let you know that you're really beautiful and I always had a crush on you for the longest. I wanted to ask you out on a date if that's okay with you." He said with all the confidence he could muster.

Some of her girlfriends were blushing by his sweet words, others were disgusted. He did not care what her friends thought, he only cared about what Jenny thought.

"Ew, no! I would never go out with you. You're ugly, fat, awkward, and not my type. You should continue stuffing your stomach, fatso!" She aggressively rejected him with no remorse or care for his feelings. To add salt to injury, she laughed at his face.

This was Tom's first rejection and heartbreak. He thought that maybe Jenny would like him back. But she made him feel less than a human. He felt so embarrassed and sad, that he ran out of the cafeteria and tried to leave school early. But the principal saw him and stopped to have a word.
