Lamonte went back inside his car after leaving Food Lion and putting all of the Thanksgiving items in his trunk. He could not believe that he saw Mariah again and he was shocked by the way she carried herself.
Accusing him of calling her a "slut". In his head, he was thinking that she was a hoe since she did cheat on him. But he knew that if he said that to her, it would make him look like the bad guy and ruined his reputation. He did not want to be labeled as a "sexist" or a "misogynist".
Lamonte has nothing but love, respect, and support for women. He loved his wife and two daughters immensely. He respected all the hardworking women in the world trying to better their lives. He didn't want to ruin all that over one woman who did him wrong. Even though he still resented Mariah for cheating on him, he had to control himself before he said something he might regret.
Before he could leave and drive back home, he had to call his wife and let her know what happened. He promised her to tell her everything, no matter how embarrassing or personal it was. He dialed her phone number and she answered immediately.
"Hello, baby. How's everything with the Thanksgiving shopping?" She asked. The sound of her voice gave him peace, he loved her voice.
"I got the majority of the Thanksgiving items at Food Lion. I will finish the rest at another store." He told her.
"Oh, what happened? Did Food Lion didn't have everything we needed?" She asked. He sighed, because it was that time again to let her know about Mariah.
"They had everything, but I saw my ex-girlfriend again at Food Lion." He revealed, feeling ashamed and embarrassed that he had to inform his wife about her.
"Ɛl dɔn frɔz ɔva" She said that hell has frozen over, feeling shocked and annoyed.
"I can't escape from this madwoman. She's like the female version of James Bond." He said, expressing his frustration.
"Where is she now?" She asked.
"She's probably still inside Food Lion shopping." He said.
"Where are you now?"
"I'm inside my car, parked at Food Lion."
Mary was thinking of something to stop this situation from happening any longer. She did not want to deal with an ex-girlfriend of Lamonte trying to ruin her marriage. She needed to think of something to make Mariah leave her husband alone.
"Since you and your ex are still at Food Lion, how about you go back inside and let her know that you don't need her anymore in your life?" She suggested.
"I don't think that's a good idea" he disagreed.
"Why not?" She questioned, felt confused by his response.
"If I go back inside and confront her again, she might get me in trouble. Claiming that I'm stalking and harassing her." He told her.
"Come off from that! She won't do anything that extreme." She said, not believing a word he was saying.
"She is psychotic. When I confronted her just a few minutes ago, she had the audacity to scream 'slut'. Accusing me of slut shaming her and causing a lot of commotion at the store." He said.
"I can't believe you once fell in love with her." She said.
"Love is definitely strange" That was all he could say.
"What should we do then? I don't want that crazy girl ruining our marriage." She asked, hoping her husband got a logical solution.
"The best thing to do right now is to just ignore her." He replied.
"Ignore her? What happens if she comes back? Women like her don't stop until they get what they want. Trust me, I've seen it firsthand and it will only lead to disaster." She said.
"Ignoring her is the only way to stop all this. If I acknowledge her, then it would either lead to her getting me into unnecessary trouble or she will try even harder to get me to take her back. So if I see her again, I won't even look her way." He told her.
"You sure that will work?" She asked.
"I know it will" he assured her.
"Alright, finish up your Thanksgiving shopping and come back home safe." She said.
"I love you!" He told her.
"I love you too. Also, one last thing..." She said.
"What is it?" He was curious on what she was going to ask.
"She is the wicked witch of Virginia!" She exclaimed.
"You can say that again!" He agreed. They both laughed and hung up their phones. He left the Food Lion shopping area to go to another store to finish his Thanksgiving shopping. If he sees her again, he will not give her any attention. Mariah will never win. No love for Mariah!
