Everything was a disaster. At first, life was going so well, Jimin had finally started high school with his best friend. They had most of their classes together, so Jimin wasn't by himself. He always had someone around to help him. Jimin was extremely shy, insecure, and reticent. He was not one to walk into a room first or speak out his ideas. He never raised his hand to answer the teachers' questions, even if he knew the answers. Reading out loud in the class was a nightmare, he stuttered so badly and spoke so softly that nobody could hear him or understand him, and the teachers usually just skip him.

Nobody knows why Jimin is like this, he was born this way. Always quiet and holding back. Never wanted to leave the house or met new people, just getting him to go outside the backyard was hard. The only time he would step out is if he was holding his mom's hand tightly. It was the whole reason his parents decided to put him in preschool. They were hoping he would come out of his shell. At first, he would cling to his mom instead of playing with other kids. Only Taehyung was able to pull him away from his mom.

There was something about Taehyung that made Jimin want to play, dance and joke around with him. As long as Taehyung was doing it, Jimin wanted to do it too. For instance, if Taehyung wanted to go swimming in the public pool, then Jimin would happily go along, jumping into the water, splashing, and having a good time. But if, for some reason, Taehyung could not go, Jimin would drag his feet and make excuses not to go. If he were forced to go, he would quietly sit next to his parents or by himself if his parents were not there and not partaking in the enjoyment.

But all that was supposed to change in high school, Taehyung had helped him all summer to become more independent and confident. And it was working, Jimin was actually doing more on his own, making friends and talking more in the classroom. He started raising his hand to answer questions, even if he still spoke softly if he was called on, he was working on gaining more confidence to talk louder. He already conquered talking out in the noisy lunchroom and crowded malls.

Jimin dreams of finding his mate so he will be loved and cared for the rest of his life. He has been spoiled and taken care of by not only his parents but by Taehyung's parents as well. Namjoon treated him just like he treated Taehyung and was more like a big brother to him. where ever they went, Namjoon was close by to protect them. Jimin has never had to worry about anything in his life. And for an omega, being safe, loved, cared for, and comfortable was perfect. His wish is that his mate would be the same.

Nevertheless, he was trying not to be so timid and weak. He wanted to help his mate and not be a burden. He was making progress, was willing to talk to people, and became more sociable. He was doing more things on his own and becoming more independent. Well, he was, up until Taehyung decided he needed to run away and had to leave Jimin behind.

It was the hardest moment for both of them. Taehyung depended on Jimin as much as Jimin depended on Taehyung. It was because of Jimin's encouragement that Taehyung felt confident and outgoing. IT was because of Jimin's fear of something new that pushed Taehyung to do things first so that Jimin would follow and do it too. It was Jimin's silent support that Taehyung was able to speak out. Who knows what Taehyung would have become if he didn't have Jimin by his side all his life Taehyung become the fun-loving, outspoken, charismatic person he is because when they were younger, he was protecting and inspired by example for Jimin.

Now Taehyung was gone, and Jimin had to face the world by himself. Jimin knew Taehyung needed to get away. He felt it was a big misunderstanding, but he had never seen Taehyung so anxious and worked up as he was after his mate rejected him. Taehyung was determined to leave his mate and not force someone to stay with him if they didn't want him, despite the fact that his mate said he would take responsibility for him. Taehyung believed his mate was reluctant and forced to stay with him. He was not going to stay with an unwilling partner that didn't love him.

But that is Taehyung's story, it is time for Jimin to make his own story. Jimin needs to stop being shy and begin to confidently show his real character and feelings. To become the person, he always wanted to be but was scared to show. And so he did, Hiding his shaking hands, with his heart in his throat and stomach threatening to expel all its contents, Jimin walked into the school without his sidekick and spent the rest of the year working on getting stronger and keeping his grades up. By the time he finds his mate, he hopes would be strong and confident enough to make his mate happy.

Will Jimin be able to come out of his shell and show others his real personality, or will the disaster of his best friend leaving keep him a weak, shy, and fragile omega?
