"Hyung, how much longer are we going to do this? We've been at it for five hours already." Jungkook said disgruntledly as he wiped the sweat off his forehead. He plopped to his knees then into a sitting position to rest on the forest ground. Even the cool, gentle, woodland breeze was not enough to cool him off.

Hobi was laying prone on the ground, panting to catch his breath. He huffed in agreement, "Yeah, it is almost lunch time and I'm hungry. Breakfast was long ago."

Warriors, guardians, and sentries all sat haphazardly around the training field, gasping for breath. Some were holding onto their sides, others were holding their head or clutching their injured stomachs and chests. And some were just passed out on the ground.

The trainees knew better than to complain. Yoongi was the future Head Guardian and he worked them hard to make them better. He explained it as the training is what would keep them alive in times of battle or war. Yoongi wanted to make sure each of his fighters would be skilled enough to not be killed.

"We keep going until you get it right. I am not going to fight by your side if you can't even get through a little combat training." Yoongi growled kicking at his brother's sprawled leg. "You don't get a second chance in the real thing."

The training field was near the pack house, with an obstacle course and a shooting range at the end.

They had started training at 6:00 in the morning, which meant they had to get up before the sun rose. For the drill, they had to run the obstacle course as quickly as they could. And at the end, they had to successfully shoot the target 3 times in the center to pass.

It was a challenge to control their arms and hands from shaking with adrenaline from running through the obstacles and that was where they were failing. Even the ones that cleared the shooting had to still run the course with those that had not yet, they just did not have to shoot again if they did not want to and used the time to rest, drink water and relax a little. As combat trainer, Yoongi ran right beside his troops.

"A little combat training? Hyung. You're joking. Do we even need to go this hard during peacetime? Like I am okay with morning training exercises but maybe a couple hours max, Hyung. Come on." Jungkook said, tilting his head to the side to look up at his brother while swatting Yoongi's foot away from his leg.
