June 14 Saturday
Jungkook was walking with Jimin to the pack house where they were having dinner. Yoongi and Hoseok were already there, having left an hour ago while Jungkook was cleaning his shoes. Jimin decided to stay and keep Jungkook company. On the walk up the hill, Jimin was telling Jungkook about the crew he worked with. Most of them were betas since there were not too many omegas working on the project. But they were really nice to him and did not treat him any differently.
Neither one of them was paying attention to their surroundings but Jungkook was quick to pull Jimin closer to his side when he smelled someone nearby. A few minutes later, Suho jogged up from behind them, breathing heavily with his hands on his knees. Catching his breath, he smiled and said, "I just wanted to say you look really pretty tonight, Jimin. See you at the dining hall." With that, he started running up the hill the rest of the way while Jimin was left to explain who he was to Jungkook.
June 18 Wednesday
Hoseok and Jimin were sitting outside on the picnic table cutting up vegetables for the grill while Yoongi was inside cutting up the meat. Jungkook was trying to get the charcoal in the grill lit by waving a piece of cardboard back and forth and sometimes blowing on it. Jimin was laughing at something Hoseok said when all of a sudden, Hobi stops laughing and looks behind Jimin and coldly asks. "Can I help you?"
Suho smiled widely and said, "Not really, I was just walking past and was wondering if I could join you all. It sounds like you are having a whole lot of fun."
"We are making dinner," Jimin said softly, not turning to look at Suho. He kept his back to him and continued to cut the bell peppers into strips.
Hoseok raised his eyebrow at Jimin's unfriendliness. This is unusual for the omega, who usually had a smile and a hug for everyone. "Umm, yea, I don't think we have enough food for a guest. We didn't plan for extra people."
"That is ok. I understand. It was rude of me to walk in uninvited. I just wanted to give Jimin these flowers I picked that reminded me of how pretty he is." Suho placed flowers on the table next to Jimin's right hand. Jimin still doesn't turn around, and he didn't say Thank you either.
In fact, his distress was causing the air to smell like burnt coffee and burnt sugar, which made Yoongi come outside from the kitchen with a knife still in his hand. "What's wrong with Jimin?"
Suho took one look at Yoongi standing there with a knife and quickly said his goodbyes. The air cleared up as soon as he left the yard. Jimin pushed the flowers off the table with a swipe of his hand before telling Yoongi, "I am good, Hyung. Something just smelled bad."
Yoongi nodded and went back inside to finish preparing the meat. Jungkook went back to heating up the grill. Hoseok, on the other hand, came around to pick the flowers off the floor. Tossing them inside the plastic bag they were using for trash, he asked, "What was that about?" And for the second time in less than a week, Jimin had to explain who he was again.
Down the road from where Jimin was explaining, Suho walked with his hands in his pockets, he stopped in front of someone who was in the shadows. "Why do I have to keep doing this, Noona? It is clear he doesn't like me. He will never go out on a date with me."
"Just keep doing what I tell you to do. Don't give up. Everything will work out. Now go home before I tell your mom you are hitting on boys again." The voice said from the shadows.
Suho turned to walk to his parent's house. They had one of the remodeled tile-roofed hanoks in the high-ranking housing section. But he came to a stop when he heard what was said. he whined "Noooonaaaa, you promised you would never to tell them."
