August 6 Tuesday
It started out as a little crush; Jimin thought Yoongi was the most attractive person he had ever met. But Jimin would never let Yoongi knows how he feels. Besides, Yoongi most likely would not be his mate so all Jimin can do is watch Yoongi from afar. Yoongi was a very attractive alpha. There is no way he would be interested in someone like Jimin. Not only was Yoongi the strong, calm, silent type that Jimin was somewhat attracted to, but Yoongi was also 3 years older than him.
From the first day of freshman year, when Namjoon took Yoongi home, and they stayed at Yoongi's penthouse for a few hours, Jimin could not stop thinking about the older alpha. Now that his best friend is gone, Namjoon has taken it upon himself to keep Jimin by his side, so that means Jimin has been hanging around Namjoon more, and since they are best friends also with Yoongi.
The more Jimin is around the alpha, the more he falls for him. This wasn't a good thing for him. He shouldn't fall in love with anyone yet. Yoongi is exactly the type of person Jimin wants as a mate. He still had two more years before he could find out who his destined mate was. If he is lucky and doesn't get rejected like his best friend did.
It's been a year since that fateful day when Jungkook rejected Taehyung and changed everyone's lives. They ended up mating due to their spontaneous heat and ruts hitting simultaneously, which only made everything worse. Taehyung said he did not want to be a burden on someone who did not want him, so he convinced his parents to let him move to the Gwangsan Haven House and Care Center for Unmated Omegas, or just Haven House, a sanctuary for rejected and abused omegas. And Jimin lost his best friend.
Jimin had tried the whole summer to convince Taehyung to move back to the pack and confess his secret to Jungkook, but Taehyung kept begging for more time. Jimin wanted to be supportive of his best friend, but he couldn't help but think this was a mistake. Personally, Jimin hates having secrets like this, but it is not his story to tell. As much as he wants to say something, he cannot betray his best friend from childhood. He just hopes Taehyung does the right thing before it's too late.
Jimin is starting the school year as a sophomore. It will be another year without his best friend, but it's not like Jimin doesn't have other friends to keep him company. He has grown mental and emotionally from that disastrous day. He is a little more confident and independent than he used to be, which was the one thing everybody had been worried about when Taehyung moved. They all thought he would fall completely apart without Taehyung by his side.
Jimin wasn't going to admit to them that he was more scared than what he first led them to believe. He didn't want anyone to worry about him. He had always had Taehyung by his side and never really learned to do anything completely by himself. He always had Tae there to do it with him. Last year, Jimin had already been in classes and knew where he was going before Taehyung left so it wasn't so bad. This year, he was starting new classrooms and schedules he wasn't familiar with.
For the first time in his life, he would be walking the halls alone. Not saying he didn't have other friends that he would run into in the hallways. It's just that he and Taehyung would usually walk in together and silently give each other courage to face whatever came their way. Now Jimin has to learn to face it all by himself.
Jimin takes a deep breath and looks at the front doors of the school skeptically. Namjoon came up behind him and placed his hand on Jimin's shoulder. "Are you going to be all right? Do you want me and Yoongi to walk you to your classes?"
Jimin shakes his head, "No, I'll be ok. It's not like I don't know where everything is already. Besides, you and Yoongi won't be allowed in the omega building anyways since you are alphas and already graduated."
