Yoongi has been trying to talk to Jimin all week. Every since Eun-Chong's birthday, Jimin has been avoiding him. From past experience, Yoongi knew that meant Jimin was upset with him, but he couldn't think of anything he did. In fact, on the morning of the party, everything was normal. Yoongi woke up before Jimin and watched the omega sleeping peacefully at his side until Jimin opened his eyes.

Yoongi smiled to himself as he remembered Jimin's soft giggles and butterfly kisses that morning. His smile quickly turned to a frown as his thoughts turned to how by the end of that same day, Jimin had stopped talking to him and has not returned to Yoongi's room. Yoongi was clueless as to what happened. One minute they were singing Happy Birthday to Eun-Chong and the next minutes Jimin was sidestepping him.

At first, Yoongi thought it was just because Jimin was busy helping Taehyung with the celebration, but even after they had cleared up the table and the party ended is when Jimin dodging became really apparent. Yoongi had gone to his room at the end of the day expecting to find Jimin waiting for him so they could talk about whatever it was that had made Jimin mad, but he found the room empty and the omega nowhere in sight.

Same for the following three nights until Yoongi had enough and went searching for his mate. He found Jimin in his own room with the door locked. It didn't take much for Yoongi to break the lock and open the door, but Jimin was dead asleep in his bed and did not even stir at the sound of the door being thrown open. Yoongi carried the omega to his own bed, intending on talking to him first thing when they woke up. But that did not go as planned.

As soon as Jimin opened his eyes and found himself in Yoongi's bed, he started screaming. Jimin abruptly jumped out of the bed and literally ran out of the room, leaving Yoongi sitting on the bed stunned and confused. Jimin turned his head once to make sure Yoongi was not following him as he ran as fast as he could down the hall.

That happened four days ago, after Yoongi found out that Jungkook was having the same problem with his omega as well and the alpha brothers met with their parents. Hours before Yoongi found and carrying the sleeping Jimin back to his bed, Jungkook had shown up in Yoongi's office with a troubled mind. Jungkook told him that not only has Taehyung been avoiding him, but apparently, the two omegas were planning on spending their next heat in the safe room together. The thought did not sit well with Yoongi or Jungkook, for that matter.

In all actuality, this was Jimin's first real heat. Technically it was his second heat, but since he used suppressants the first time, he did not experience any of the symptoms or discomfort. It bothered Yoongi to think of what may or may not happen between the two omegas inside a locked room. Logically, he knew that omegas were rarely attracted to each other and that Jimin and Taehyung were more like brothers, twins if you may.

But his instinct to protect his mate was taking over the logical side of his brain and making him antsy about Jimin being in a room with any other males besides himself during his most vulnerable time when Jimin would be at his weakest and most irrational. Yoongi's biological predisposition was pushing him to mate with his omega to the point that was all he thought about. In other words, Yoongi's wolf was going crazy trying to make sure he was the one Jimin spent his heat with.
