Jimin's birthday is tomorrow, so they decided to have his celebration this evening. It has been 3 months since his abduction, and things were finally settling down. At first, his appa and mom would not let him out of their sight. They even stopped going on their supply trips and catering jobs instead, they delegated the jobs to other people, so they could watch him and make sure he got home from school. Sometimes his mom would even be waiting by the door for him to walk in.
In fact, everyone in the pack house was that way. Leader Deukshi and his mate, Luna Wongyeong, always made a point to find him and check if he needed anything. Head Guardian KeonHo and Sinmu would bring him snacks and sometimes just sit and cuddle with him while watching television. Even the Lead Medic pack doctor Sukjong and the healer Ingyeong were constantly checking his health and asking him questions about his emotional state.
Jimin was shy and nervous around Leader Jeon, he had to admit he was a little intimidated by the aura around the Leader. The Luna was always so loving and caring, her calming scents worked on him just as well as his mom's. Jimin felt comfortable in her presence. Of course, KeonHo and Sinmu were second parents to him. He grew up in their house with Taehyung. Sinmu's instinct at having another one of his "babies" taken away from him caused him to practically smoother Jimin in affection. If he wasn't in Sinmu's arms, then he was in his mother's. They were incessantly scenting him. Not that Jimin was complaining, he actually was feeling a little insecure and scared to be out of the pack house. But he wasn't going to tell anyone that.
The school year started smoothly even after the occurrence over the summer. It was his Junior year, so Jimin was happy to walk into the familiar school rooms. He felt safe and confident at the high school. Nobody knew about his abduction, so nobody treated him any differently than they did last year. It was one of the few places Jimin felt like he could be himself without fear of being treated like he was fragile or be pitied. He could just be himself with his friends and classmates.
Slowly, everyone seemed to be getting over the case of the clingies. His parents slowly started taking jobs that were in Seoul so they could be home in the evenings. Everyone else stopped checking on him as much and finally gave him some space to breathe. Jimin will be turning 17 tomorrow. So, of course, his mother made all his favorite foods and seaweed soup for him. Wongyeong made him a birthday cake, and they celebrated as a family at the dining table.
Jungkook and Hoseok playfully smeared icing all over Jimin's face. To everyone's surprise, Jimin attacked Jungkook and Hoseok and had icing all over their faces as well. He was tempted to put some on Yoongi, but one look at Yoongi's face changed his mind.

After the cake, he opened his gifts. His parents gave him headphones to listen to his music. His second parents, KeonHo and Sinmu, gave him a new bag for his dance clothes, and inside was a new pair of dance shoes. Leader and Luna gave him a new backpack for school. He got a new hoodie and beanie from Jungkook, and Hobi gave him sunglasses and a cd.
