Today is the day Yoongi's little brother graduates from high school. Although they are only 6 months apart, Yoongi's birthday is in march, and therefore, he was able to start school a whole year before Jungkook. Yoongi graduated last year and has to attend two years of alpha school to learn how to control his wolf, how to use his alpha powers and superior skills, leadership training, self-discipline, intensive combat exercise in both human and wolf form, weapon training, and specialized training in whatever career field they choose.

It is something all alphas must go through before they are assigned to a pack. Jungkook has been admitted and registered at the same alpha school that Yoongi is in. Once the werewolves graduate successfully from alpha school, they can choose to either stay in the pack they are already registered in, or they can switch to another pack. Usually, it depends on your destined mate or career choice.

However, Yoongi and Jungkook don't have a choice due to their parentage. Jungkook was born to take over leading the pack when his appa hands it over, and Yoongi was born to become Head Guardian. If Yoongi didn't want to be Head Guardian, he would still have to choose one of the high positions and Namjoon would be forced to take the High Guardian position when his appa retires.

The only reason he was given the opportunity to change careers is due to the death of his appa, who was head guardian at the time, and Kim KeonHo, currently holding the position. Both Yoongi and Namjoon had the chance to pick which position they wanted to do. The start of their senior year, Yoongi and Namjoon discussed it and it was decided that Yoongi would take over the Head Guardian position since his appa held it first. Namjoon still has yet to decide what he was going to do.

The Beta position would automatically be passed down to Hoseok since he is not only the firstborn beta but an only child of Beta HyunJo, which works out wonderfully since he is also Jungkook's loyal best friend from childhood and someone Jungkook trusts and will listen to. He is also graduating this year and scheduled to attend the university where the beta school is where he will learn the second in command role, his responsibility to take charge if the alpha is not around or busy, he has to be aware of everything going on in the pack just like the alpha does and often runs recon, background checks, and gathering information on whatever the leader needs.

The Beta has more to train for since it is such an important position. He is the only one that will need to watch out that the alpha doesn't expend too much energy during a fight or gets too aggressive or angry since the alpha tends to have a blind determination to reach their goals, it is up to the beta to meditate during meeting and discussions as well as hold the alpha responsible for and enforce the pack rules. Hoseok will also take over the Head Scout/Messenger position, where he will create and maintain allies for their pack on top of all his other duties.

Omegas cannot hold a high-ranking position. The stress and energy needed to fulfill the duties are too much for the omegas. There have been some omegas as warriors, usually, archers, sentries, or even spies, but those are rare and never passed down. The Pack Doctor was the only position that is not hereditary rule that passes to the heirs. It is determined by who is the best doctor.

If Jimin had not presented as an omega, he would have been trained and taken over the Head Hunter position when he came of age. Now, It will be offered to Jimin's mate if they were deemed responsible enough. If Jimin is not mated or if his mate is lacking, then the position would be tested by whomever Jungkook wants to have there. if all else fails, the pack would hold tryouts for the replacement.

It has been something each of their fathers has been preparing them for since they were born with guidance and teaching by example. The Black Lotus pack is one of the biggest and most successful packs in South Korea due to the teamwork of the High Ranking positions and the rules and long-standing morals set in place long before all of them.
