Will o' The Wisps (miraculous ladybug x OC)

Realization

Finally she reached the top, not even out of breath, and opened the door. There was the same sight she saw every night, the sun fading over the horizon as the black night sky brought with it stars and piercing green cat eyes.

"Naya! I was worried you wouldn't—" Cat Noir leapt to his feet, immediately in attack mode, pulling out his stick. "Naya...why do you...what happened?"

"You've broken my heart one too many times, Kitty, and now you're going to pay!"

His eyes widened. "I—I didn't...no, you—why do you look like Wisp!?"

"We've all got our secrets...ADRIEN!"

Adrien? My...my son is Cat Noir!?

She leapt for him, arm outstretched, but before she could do anything the connection severed, her costume vanished, and she stumbled, falling into his arms as he threw away his stick to catch her.

Immediately the tears came, tears of anger, tears of embarrassment, tears of horror at what she'd done.

"Naya—"

"I'm sorry!" she sobbed into his chest. "I'm sorry I hid it from you! I should've told you! I should've told you everything! This is all my fault!"

"Naya..." he sank to the ground, eyes wide in shock. "I—I don't know what to say."

"This is all my fault!" She cried again. "He knows. He knows everything!"

"Who knows? Hawkmoth? How did you know that I'm...that I'm Adrien?" He whispered the last part, looking around nervously.

"You..." she sniffed, "You called me Ocean Blue."

"Oh." Suddenly he threw his head back and laughed loudly. As he continued to laugh Naya joined in, choked, sobbing laughs at what she'd done, and for him, laughs at the insane situation they were in.

When they finally slowed to a stop, gasping for breath, Naya jumped to her feet. "Wait! Kitty! I remembered something!"

"What?"

"Hawkmoth...when he said "Adrien?" He also said, "my son!?""

Cat Noir stared at her for a second before slowly shaking his head. "You're wrong. You must've misheard. There's no way..." he jumped to his feet as well, rushing up to her and shaking her. "You're wrong! You have to be wrong!"

"I—I'm not! I swear!"

"On your mothers life?"

"Yes. And on yours."

"What the...he stumbled and fell to his knees before her, tears filling his eyes. "No...no, no, NO!"

Naya jumped back, a little scared of how angry he was. But as they stood in silence, the reality of the situation caught up to her. Adrien, Cat Noir, had just found out his dad had been the supervillain they'd been fighting this whole time. And not only that, but now he knew that his son was Cat Noir. They were pretty much screwed.

"This is all my—"

"Naya!" he yelled angrily, standing up again. "Just stop. Stop saying that. You're Wisp. I'm Adrien. We know that now. And my father is...is Hawkmoth. And there's nothing we can do to change that. So we just have to deal with it and figure out what to do next."

"Right." She wiped furiously at her eyes until they were burning dry, then nodded. "What's first?"

"First, you should...transform. Then we'll find Ladybug and tell her we found out Hawkmoth's identity. After that...After that we'll see."
