Double Take

Chapter 20: Confrontation

Win drives to his family company and go straight to his brother's office. Everyone in the company knows he is the youngest son of the Teepakorn family despite of his lack involvement with the company, so even without pass card, he  can walks leisurely inside the building.

He opens the door and nods at his brother who is on the phone. He waits his brother to finish his phone call at the rest area of his brother office.

"Win, why you left last night? You really stubborn." Apo walks to the rest area and takes a sit opposite to his brother.

"I don't want to bother you and I'm fine. I'm no longer a kid, Apo." Win replies with a small laughs.

Apo smiles at his brother, "Okay, if you say so. So, what's the matter? It is not you to meet me here. I don't remember when the last time you come here."

Apo is right. He always avoid to come here because his father's office is in the same building even though at different floor.

"Apo.. do you remember Bright?" Win asks.

"Mnnn.. Bright..is that the young boy who like you?" Apo asks back.

Win nods his head. "I think I might consider him."

"Good for you! You have been single for long time already. Go date someone. Enjoy your life before you turn old because no one would date you anymore when you become old." Apo jokes with his brother but when he sees Win doesn't smile as if he is troubel with something he asks, "What's the matter?"

"Do you think it is good idea?" Win replies.

"Why not? That guy like you and I know even you don't admit it before, you obviously like him too. But what happen actually? You told me before you can't with him. Change of heart?" Apo asks in concern.

"I'm afraid I will broke him. You know my condition back then when I broke up with Luke. He is young. I'm afraid he couldn't take it. His passion in pursuing love remind me of myself." Win explains.

"So, you are considering him now because you think he is tough enough?" Apo asks again.

Win shakes his head. "I don't know. I just.. I just want to give him a chance to know the other side of me. But at the same time, I am afraid. Will he accept me as the way I am? I'm weird."

"Win.. stop saying you are weird. It is good if you think you want to try to give him a chance. You can tell the truth to him and let hear from him. What he thinks? If he couldn't accept this, so he not deserve to be with you. Not the other way around." Apo speaks firmly.

Win turns into silent. "Then can you do me a favor?"

Apo looked at his brother seriously and replies, "What favor?"

Apo looked at his watched. Already noon. He checked his phone. There was no text from Win. Could it be... He eyes widen. Then he rushing out from the office while dialing up someone's number but no one picking up.

As he about to reach the parking lot, there is a young guy greets him.

"Phi.. I'm Bright."

Apo looked at the young guy in front of him. What makes Bright comes here?

"I know you from Win. What are you doing here?" Apo asks in a friendly way.

"Ah.. I cannot contact P'Win since last night. I'm worried because he was not in his apartment. Do you know where is he?" Bright asks in worry.

Apo turns into silent for awhile. He in a deep thought. After few second, he turns his head to Bright and said, "Follow me."

Then he quickly walked to his car while Bright is confused with the words but still he follows Apo in daze.
