Double Take

Chapter 18: A doubt

"What are you doing here? Where is Win?!" Bright asks in angry.

He is stupid to believe that Win will act like that with him. All this while it is Kavin. No wonder he find it is very strange of Win to behave affectionate like that around him.

Kavin smiles and turn his head away from Bright. "You may not believe me but it is Win who asks me to be here."

Bright's blood suddenly boil. It is impossible for Win to do this. Win had agree to go out with him before.

"You're lying!"

Kavin shrugs his shoulder and continues his words, "It's up to you if you want to believe me or not. If you say I'm lying why does not Win shows up here instead of me?"

Bright falls into silent. His mind is mess up. Did Kavin tell a truth? But why would Win did that? He can't believe it. But if it is not true, Win must showed up here and has contacted him if he didn't find him.

He ignores the smiles from Win's twins and takes out his phone. He dials up Win's number, however there is only operator voice could be heard. He checked his line chat and there is no text from Win.

"If what you say is true, why would Win do that? I never talk about you in front of him and Win never talk about you either. So, I don't understand why Win would do that. It doesn't make sense." Bright asks for explanantion. He still think Kavin is lying to him. Win might has something to do and Kavin takes this chance to come here.

"Who knows... Maybe he is not confidence about himself." Kavin shrughs his shoulder again. His words doesn't look like someone is joking.

"Why would he feels like that? It is not like Win and me are dating?" Brights asks again.

Kavin turns to him. There are trace of confusion in his eyes. "You are not dating?"

"No."

Kavins suddenly let out a small laughs and rest his head on his palm. "My bad. That's why my disguise was exposed. I should not kiss you earlier. You probably doesn't realized this is me if not for the kiss."

"You—!" Bright grits his teeth try to hold his anger.

"So, do I still have a chance?" Kavin asks him in soft tone.

"No.. we are not dating. But I love him and I'm going to pursue him. Everything is fine not until you appear. You had ruin it. Why you did that? Tell me the truth. Did Win really asks you to replace him to be here?"

Kavin lost in thought for awhile. The air between then sudddenly become chill. Bright doesn't know what Kavin thinks. Seems like he thought about something seriously.

"I didn't know how to make you believe in me. I am here because of Win. As for why he did that.. I don't know. You can ask him by yourself. For now, I will let you go. But if Win once again backed off, I will not give him back what he cherishes. This is so annoying." Kavin grunts as he opens the car door and get off from the car.

Bright has a lot of question to ask but he just let the other get off from his car. He just look confusely at the disappear figure in front of him.

Kavin's words seems strange to him. Kavin says before he likes him. So he is not playing with him? But does Win knows about this and let Kavin flirts with him instead? It is ridiculuous! But if it is like this, why Kavin need to disguise as Win. He could just come here as Kavin. Probably, Kavin knows he would not agree to watch the movie if it is not Win.

Bright looks at his hand that lost its warm long ago since the other let it go, with a mix feeling. He doesn't know anything. He doesn't know what Win is thinking. He doesn't know what's wrong with Win's twins. Now, he doesn't know should he keep pursuing Win. If Win really doesn't want him, should he stops?
