The group has figured out a very good way of dealing with the kids. They play in the HUGE simulation area Spark has, with 2 of the 'adults' watching them all at one time.
Currently everyone's playing Pirates. Well, nearly everyone. Pearl was the pirate queen, Spark was second in command, with Lapis and Ace being the crew. The only person missing was Rose. The main thing was no one really knew where she was
Lapis: Hey Spark?
Spark: That's captain Spark Sparrow to you!
She gives him a bored look
Spark: Serious question?
Lapis: Yes. Have you seen Rose at all? I kinda feel bad for her
Spark: Nope. Go ask Jake I guess. Isn't it his turn to be in charge
Pearl: Where's my second in command?
Spark: I gotta go I guess
Lapis: When did I become the responsible one
Spark: I guess you were more caring when little
She actually takes a minute to reevaluate her life after that. Kids are brutally honest! She promises to try and be more caring after this. But still prank
It took a while of searching but she did find Rose acting like she was sleeping
Lapis: Rose?
Rose: *Fake but convincing sleeping noises*
Lapis: Alright I guess I'll have to jump on her to get up
Rose: I'm awake! *panicking*
Lapis: Good. Come on, we're all playing pirates
Rose: I-I'm good. I'm still kinda tired so I'll sleep more
Lapis: You've only slept today. Come on!
She starts to leave but Rose doesn't move and only looks away
Lapis: Your scared to be around them. Aren't you?
Rose: How did you know?
Lapis shrugs
Lapis: Lucky guess. Well there isn't anything to fear about them, they just wanna have fun with you
Rose: But they know you, I'm never there...
Lapis takes a moment to think of a plan
Lapis: Give me 4 ish minutes
3 ish minutes later, Rose fell asleep again. At 4 ish, Lapis came back and shook her a little to get her up
Lapis: Wow you really don't have much energy. Have you tried drinking coffee?
Rose: What's coffee?
Lapis: Oh your gonna love it, or hate it
In the kitchen she couldn't find coffee. But she found berries that were labeled as 'energy giving' so she covered one in chocolate and give Rose it as she was dozing off
Lapis: That should keep you awake
Rose: Thank you
Lapis: Do you sleep at night?
Rose: I constantly wake up while trying, but I do
Lapis: That may be why you don't have much energy
She does eat the berry with a little struggle
Rose: It's really sour
Lapis: The chocolate dosn't help?
Rose: It does a little
The energy kicks in fast. Not enough for her to go hyper, but enough to let her go the rest of the day without needing a nap
Lapis: Better?
Rose: I don't feel tired all the time but I'm sill not sure about taking with them
Lapis: That's where this comes in
She pulls out a watch
Lapis: Basically you switch the dial thing around and it will make you look like someone else, and sound like someone else. It's currently set to me so you can pretend to me, have fun, and I'll take your place!
Rose: But what if it malfunctions?
Lapis: I don't think it will. And if it does, just say you did this because you were too shy to ask normally
Rose: I don't know...
Lapis: Ni!
Nothing happened
Rose: What was that?
Lapis: I don't know. I saw it in a movie once and thought it might- never mind
So Lapis (actually Rose) went back to the pirate ship
[While it might get confusing, I'm just gonna say Rose even though she looks like Lapis]
Spark: Any luck finding Rose?
Rose: U-Um yup. She was just sleeping so I let her be
Spark: Oh alright
He hasn't realized it's Rose yet but he will in half an hour
Pearl: If we continue to play pirates, can I be someone else? I think I'm done with queen
Spark: Lapis you wanna be the queen?
Rose: I-I don't think I'll be good
Pearl: It's pretend. You can't mess it up. Just have fun
Rose gets some confidence from that. A while later she was doing a decent job as the pirate queen. Plundered a few boats, sunk a ghost ship, and escaped the Kraken with minimal injuries! Back home Lapis was doing barley anything!
Lapis: I see why she is always sleeping. Helps get through the day
Around lunch time everyone came down and that's when Rose met back up with Lapis
Lapis: So how is it going?
Rose: I'm having fun but I feel bad that you can't play too
Lapis thinks for a second. Sure this is all temporary and everyone will be back to normal in 4 days, but that doesn't mean she can't make it a better experience while it's still going on
Lapis: I think I have an idea
After everyone ate, they went back to playing but now in a beach and they are all having a water fight. This is when Lapis, now as Rose came over and asked if she could join in
Ace: Of course!
Pearl: We have been waiting for you to join in
Spark throws her a super soaker
Spark: Let's have some fun!
Lapis gave Rose a wink and for the rest of the day, everyone was included
Hi readers! 2 things I wanted to say. First of all, thank you so much Hatchlin for this dare! This was something that was gonna be in Season 2 but was scraped and I completely forgot it. I also wanna thank KeichiAkechi24 for creating The Hermitcraft Daycare AU. One of my all time favorite stories and big inspiration for these chapters! Also there is one last thing. I wanna create sort of a multiverse I guess with another story. And I don't mean my other ones, I mean someone else's. I thought it would be really cool if let's say Lapis has a friend who is a character from someone else's story and they are online friends so the other characters in both stories have no idea who they are! Could be a human, could be an Eeveelution. But it's gotta be your own character you didn't steal from someone's story and maybe an ask or dare like this.
