51: Cop Trouble

Lapis: I'm gonna go out for a while, just want to do something different

Ella: Got it

Lapis steps out of the door and notices a package for her

Lapis: To Lapis Knox, from Hatchlin... you know what? No! I'm not doing it right now. Or this week! I'm taking the rest of the week off to enjoy life.

The next week

Lapis: Well besides the sunburn it was fun

She reads the label again, reminding herself it's from Hatchlin

Lapis: Hey sunny!! You buisy?

Sunshine: Not at the moment, what's up?

Lapis: I got a package here and honestly I don't trust it. So I thought I could use someone who can reverse time to ensure our safety

Sunshine: Waiit... give me a second

She steps out of the room and comes back a minute later

Sunshine: Alright, open it up

Lapis uses her robotic hand to open the box using an extendable knife. Inside was a very rudimentary version of a portal device.

Lapis: Here we go!

She presses the on button, and it sends them into the portal. When their vision cane back, the portal device was at least 50 feet away from them, and they were surrounded by SWAT cops. More specifically, ones that look a lot like the ones from a certain game Lapis has been playing recently

Cops: Freeze!! They're probably part of the payday gang!!

Lapis: We're civilians!! We swear!!

Other Cop: Then how did you get into a government facility?

Sunshine: Peck

Lapis: Too young to swear but you get a pass with the current circumstances

One of the cops got really close with his gun. Big mistake! Sunshine froze time froze the cop, ripped the gun out of his hands, unfroze him and slammed the butt of the gun into his face. She then killed all the cops around them

Sunshine: Move it or loose it! And loosing it's not an option

Even while being shot at, Sunshine's aim was perfect. Headshotting the cops while running to the portal device. Lapis opens the portal up as she grabs a grenade from one of the dead bodies. She wasn't sure how to get it to work so Shnshine ripped it out of her hands, tossed it behind her with the pin in her hand. They jumped through the portal right at the bomb went off. How no one in the squad heard that is incredible.

Lapis is currently suffering in a lot of pain as her adrenaline is running low and the bullet wounds are getting more painful. Sunshine pulls out a syringe from her back pocket and stabs her in the leg, healing all injures

Lapis: What, but what about-

Sunshine's hands started to glow, and all injuries slowly vanished

Lapis: Oh right. Wait, why aren't you screaming? You got shot more times then I did

Sunshine: I've been stabbed and shot a few times already. I've grown sorta used to it so I just bottle up the pain and take out my aggression on a punching bag. It surprisingly helps a lot

Lapis: Never tell your mother that or we will all be killed

Sunshine: Oh she'll never know!!
