Mando and I had been walking for at least an hour by now. The hot sun was currently being hidden from them by the towering cliff edges that hung over the canyon we were walking along.

Our blurrg had wandered off so we were having to make our way back to the crest by foot. Which was not ideal considering the terrain of this planet.

Accompanying the mandalorian and I was a floating egg shaped container. Inside was a small, green child with round, bright eyes.

Mando and I hadn't spoken much to each other since they left the building where they found the child. There had been a brief argument about turning in a child to an imperial officer, but it hadn't gone on for very long. We couldn't turn this kid In. It was wrong.

The usual comfortable silence that lingered between the pair was replaced with a tension that they hadn't felt before. Especially around each other.

The ground was wet under their feet and there were reptiles scuttering around them. The door to the child's crate was open, he was looking around in wonder with his ears down. I stood next to the child's pram as Mando walked ahead of us. I thought that having some space to cool off would be a good idea.

Suddenly, the world around us fell silent. The replitles that had been running around had disappeared. Mando stopped ahead of me, causing me to halt in my tracks. Something was wrong.

The longer the silence went on, the faster my heart would beat. I reached for my blaster slowly, looking around cautiously.

All of a sudden, someone leapt down from above them, wielding a large spear. He knocked Mando's blaster straight out of his hand. It was an ambush.

I heard a familiar sound and looked down at the mand belt. He had a tracking fob fastened to it, he was here for the child.

Mando quickly turned and grabbed a hold of the kids crate, shoving him as far away from us as he could so the other bounty hunter couldn't get to him. I watched the child fly backwards for a moment before I snapped out of my thoughts and turned back to the bounty hunter.

Mando then began to fight off the man. The hunter's spear repeatedly ricocheted off of his beskar armor as he tried to attack him. Mando was dodging his blows with ease. He then grabbed a hold of the man's spear and knocked him to the ground.

Once he was knocked down, another two came down from above and tried to engage Mando. I ran over to help him. I came up behind one of the hunters and swung at him. My fist hit the side of his face, hard. His head whipped to the side and he turned to look at me with anger written across his face. 

He was violent, slashing a blade at me in aggressive strokes. Unfortunately, I don't.
wear beskar armor like my companion. Which makes me far more vulnerable in hand to hand combat like this.

Mando was fighting a man with a large spear behind me, he whipped out his pulse rifle and began to use that to fight back.

I managed to dodge most of the swings that he sent at me. Until his blade came down toward me when I wasn't ready for it. the sharp metal made contact with my forearm, slashing a large gash right down it.

I cried out in pain and clutched onto my arm. My arm was stinging in pain and blood was pouring from the wound. The man raised his weapon again to strike me down, but before he could, he collapsed to his knees. Mando had struck him in the back of his head with his pulse rifle. His eyes rolled into the back of his head and he collapsed into the ground.

The other man was running towards the child, Mando raised his pulse rifle and shot the man. Causing him to incinerate. Disappearing in a cloud of ash.

I stumbled on my feet, my hand and my sleeve were coated with red blood. A hand grabbed hold of my shoulder to steady me. He used a small amount of pressure to slowly turn me around. I looked up into his visor with a pained expression.
