2 weeks later.

My index finger gently traced down the old, worn page of a book. I was reading my third Jedi text and I had definitely learned a lot from them, though they can get slightly boring.

There was a light breeze in the air and the lake in front of me was still, giving me the sensation of calmness. Birds chirped overhead and I picked up on the occasional croak from a frog that was hidden in the long grass. My back was pushed up against the trunk of a large tree, one would expect it to be uncomfortable, but it surprisingly wasn't.

I took in a deep breath of fresh air as I carefully flipped the page of the book. My eyes skimmed over the slightly worn text. There was a scattering of illustrations on the page that accompanied the information.

"Not the most interesting of books, are they?" A familiar voice broke through my thoughts. I looked up from my book and felt surprise run through me at the familiar face.

"Ahsoka?" I said with a smile. I closed the book carefully, placing it on the ground beside me. I then stood up to greet her.

"It's good to see you again." I said with a friendly smile.

"And you." Ahsoka said with a kind smile.

"What brings you here?" I asked her

Ahsoka smiled. "I came to see how you were doing with your training, and to give you something."

"Have you talked with master Skywalker?" I asked her

Ahsoka seemed taken aback for a moment, her jaw clenched and her eyes looked sad. But the expression disappeared as fast as it had appeared. I felt my own expression drop slightly in worry.

"I have. Here, sit with me." Ahsoka said as she lowered herself down onto the grass. I followed her lead and sat back down in the grass again.

Ahsoka placed her bag on the ground in front of us and opened it up. She carefully reached inside and pulled out something that was wrapped neatly in a dark green fabric. Ahsoka untied the dark brown string that held it shut and unfolded the fabric. My heart jumped in my chest at the items that were laid out in front of me. Two intricate lightsaber hilts lay on the fabric in front of me.

"These lightsabers belonged to your parents. And now, they belong to you." Ahsoka said. Tears started to build up in my eyes as I looked at them.

"How did you get these?" I asked her

"They were taken by the empire, and after the new republic took over they were put into a protected vault on coruscant. I have a few friends in the new republic so I managed to pull some strings." Ahsoka said

"Thank you." I said, my lips twitched up into a smile as I examined every detail of them.

"Well, Go ahead." Ahsoka said as she gestured to the sabers.

I reached my hand forward and gently wrapped my fingers around the cold metal. The sabers were emitting a strong energy, and when I placed my hand on the first one, it felt like my mind was being pulled away. I closed my eyes as the world swirled around me, revealing what looked like a memory.

My father was walking down a white sleek hallway. There were several clone troopers walking alongside him, they were laughing together.

"I didn't see that last clanker okay!" One of the clones complained, causing the others to burst out laughing again. It was strange how much he sounded like Boba Fett.

"Yeah, Yeah, whatever you say commander. You gotta admit that it was funny though. You went flying." One of the clones said

"Shut it, clover. It wasn't funny." The commander said
