The sky above felt darker than usual. The bright suns of Tatooine were covered by gray clouds, allowing the air to feel slightly cooler than it usually does.
I shifted my hips as I continued to straddle the bike seat of the speeder. I had my arms wrapped loosely around Din's waist as we cruised slowly towards the town of Mos Pelgo.
It had taken them a day to arrive. We had stopped at a Tusken camp overnight thanks to Don's ability to understand their language. Which was always something I admired about him.
The town of Mos Pelgo was incredibly small compared to Mos Eisley. There was one street with a cluster of buildings on either side. Though there were a few buildings scattered behind the Main Street.
I shifted uncomfortably as we entered the town. It was eerily quiet and the citizens who mulled around stared intensely at us. Obviously, they didn't have new people coming through their village often, their stares were hard and untrusting.
We slowly drifted past several buildings before Din pulled the bike to a soft stop in front of a larger building. It had a wide door and a canopy hanging over the top of it. I glanced inside and noticed a bar with stools tucked into it. This building was most likely the small town's cantina.
Din shifted slightly in front of me and I took that as a sign that he wanted to get off and take a look around. I swung my leg over the bike and stood up so he had space to get up. I stretched subtly, I had been sitting down on that bike for far too long.
Din left the child in his bag on the back of the bike and began to walk towards the cantina entrance. I glanced down at the child before I took a quick look around the town. It was such a small town that if anyone tried to take the child, we'd easily find them, the child was safe on the bike.
I hesitated before I followed Din into the cantina. Inside, there was a round bar with a man standing behind it. He had long, white hair and he was looking at Din with an untrusting gaze. There were a couple of tables scattered around the room.
I walked up to the bar and stood next to Din, who was leaning on the counter top with his hands.
"Can I help you?" The man behind the bar asked them.
"I'm looking for a mandalorian." Din Said
"Well, we don't get many visitors in these parts. Can you describe him?" The man replied
"Someone who looks like me." Din said
"Mmm...you mean the Marshal?" The man asked after he examined Din's armor. I furrowed my brows at his answer.
"Your Marshal wears Mandalorian armor?" Din asked him in confusion.
The man turned to look at the door to the cantina and nodded in that direction. "See for yourself."
Din and I both turned our heads to face the door. Standing in the doorway was a man in mandalorian armor, it didn't look like it fit him properly, like it wasn't made for him. Din's armor fit him far better. The armor was a forest green with red accents, and it looked extremely damaged.
"What brings you here, strangers?" The man asked them.
"I've been searching for you for many parsecs." Din replied
"Well, now, you found me. Weequay, three snorts of spotchka." The man said. I felt confusion wash over me at his request, three? Mandalorian's don't take their helmets off in public. Right?
The man behind the bar reached below the counter and grabbed a bottle of spotchka. He then placed three cups on the table. The apparent mandalorian picked up the spotchka and the cups.
