The hatch of Boba Fett's ship quickly slid shut as we flew away from the imperial base. I took a seat in the chair that I have been sitting in while we've been traveling with Boba Fett.

"We've got company. Hang on." Boba Fett called down to us. The ship suddenly accelerated hard and swerved sharply to the left. I grunted as my body was roughly shoved by the change in speed.

I could hear the distant sound of blaster fire before I heard the strangest sound. It was like a deep vibration mixed with an explosion. After that noise went off the blaster fire stopped. I'm assuming that it was a deterrent from Boba Fett.

The ship steadied out after that and I sighed in relief. I looked down uncomfortably at the "borrowed" imperial uniform, I really want to get changed out of this uniform. I glanced across the room and saw my bag leaning against Din's.

I sat up slightly in my seat and started to unstrap the plastoid armor to make it easier for myself to get changed. I unattached the chest plate and placed it on the ground next to me. I sighed in relief at the lack of pressure and started to take off the pauldrons.

Once I had removed all the pieces of plastoid I stood up from my chair and walked across the common area to grab my bag. I walked silently past Mayfeld and Din, my eyes focused on the ground in front of me. I walked up to a door and pressed the button on the control panel, causing the door to slide open.

I stepped inside and immediately shut the door behind me. I took a look around Boba's small sleeping quarters, he was allowing us to use it to get changed. Now that I was alone and the door was closed, I ran my hands through my hair and sighed heavily. I lowered my hands from my hair to cover my face. I can't believe that had just happened. What was I supposed to do now that I had seen his face, and that the image wouldn't stop replaying in my mind involuntarily.

I started to take off the imperial uniform, feeling extremely relieved to have it off. I had been itching to take the uniform off since I put it on earlier. I pulled out my own clothes once I had rid myself of the imperial uniform.

I was pulling my shirt over my head when I heard a tentative knock on the door. I turned around and stared at it as I fully pulled my shirt down over my body. I hesitated before I walked up to the door and pressed the button to slide it open.

Din was standing on the other side of the door with the large brown bag slung over his shoulder. I looked up at him for a moment before I wordlessly stepped aside and let him pass.

Din stepped into the room and looked down at me. I shifted awkwardly on my feet before I turned to leave the room. "I'll be outside." I said quietly.

Before I could leave the room, Din's hand fell on my arm, his gloved fingers wrapped around my bicep.

"We need to talk." Din said, his voice sounded tense and on edge.

I sighed and looked down at my feet. "Get changed first."

"Okay." Din let go of my arm and let me walk out the room, he closed the door behind me and I let out a shaky sigh. I'm really dreading this conversation. All the worst case scenarios kept running through my mind as I sat down in my chair and waited for him to come and get me.

What would he tell me when I walked through those doors again? Is he going to tell me that we can't travel together anymore, we can't be with each other because I've seen his face and my very existence is a stark reminder of his creed being broken.

The door to Boba's sleeping quarters slid open again, I looked up and saw Din standing at the entrance in his full Mandalorian armor again. My heart clenched in my chest at the familiar sight. Somehow seeing him in his usual armor made everything feel more real.
