Song of the chapter:
High For This by The Weeknd (basically anything by him is fit for this story lol)
__________Instead of responding to Justin's super vague, yet completely demanding text message, I slipped my phone in the pocket of my sweatpants and swallowed hard before darting to my mirror.
God, why do I look like such a mess right now?!
I ran my index finger under both eyes, wiping off any makeup that melted to my skin. I tugged at my white long sleeve shirt and pushed my glasses up the bridge of my nose, but I still looked fairly sloppy.
Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck!
After a quick spray of whatever perfume was in the nearest reach, I headed down the stairs while mumbling curse words under my breath.
I attempted to steady my breath as I moved towards the door in hopes that I didn't seem as winded as I was. Of course, it was only because he made me a little nervous. He had so much experience and determination while I was a quiet girl trying to dance with the devil.
My sweating palm gripped the doorknob and pulled, expecting to see Justin right there.
But he wasn't.
What the hell? I wondered, stepping out onto the porch and turning my head left and right in hopes to find him. If he jumps out at me I swear on all that is holy I will kill-
"Hey!" A harsh whisper rang through my ears from my right.
I snapped my head in that direction, seeing none other than Justin peering out from the side of my house.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" I whisper-shouted, crossing my arms over my stomach.
"Are your parents home?"
I shook my head furiously. "No! But they might be soon!"
He casually shrugged and began towards me, hands deep in the pockets of his light wash jeans. He also had on a plain white tee shirt and a leather jacket. It was intriguing how incredibly put together he looked with a few basic pieces.
"Um, hello?" My eyes were wide once he was at the bottom of my porch steps, leaning against the beam. "Are you going to answer me or not?"
"What?" he laughed, amused by the situation.
I stepped forward. "I asked you what the fuck you're doing!"
Again, he shrugged and placed his foot on the next step. "Visiting you."
"Why?"
"I didn't see you today," he explained.
Oh my god.
My fingers began tightening to my palms, but I caught myself before he could catch it. "Well- well, that's your own fault for not coming to school today."
His dark eyes twinkled in response to my attempt to remain calm. "But I get to see you now, so that makes up for it. Right?"
A rush of chills trickled down the back of my neck, hating him so much for knowing exactly what to say to get to me. It wasn't fair. He had me all figured out and I barely knew three things about him.
"Well, you should go," I stammered. "My mom and dad will be home soon."
He raised an eyebrow and it was then that I realized he was on the top step, only a foot away from me. "So?"
I parted my lips in an attempt to speak, but nothing was coming out. Just his voice itself was seductive enough to make me melt before him.
"Fine," I choked out. "You can stay for a little while. But where is your car parked? I don't want them to see-"
