137 - Riverrun
Aemond had finally dragged himself out of bed once Visenya told him that there would be a hunting party going out. He had thought that maybe a couple of knights would be coming with them, but he should have known better. It had only been him, Visenya, Rob, and Ben to leave for the hunt. Aemond thought it would be funny to try and watch Ben chase down a boar with his hammer, but he had been surprised when Ben traded his hammer for a bow and arrow for the day. Aemond didn't know that Ben was such a good archer, but when Ben had only used one arrow to shoot down the boar, he was surprised.
"I didn't know that Ser Blackwood was so good with a bow," Aemond comments as he looks around the nature of the Riverlands. He had thought that Ben would only be good with his hammer, but he had been surprised to see how skilled he is with a bow.
"Compared to his sister and nephew, he is average," Visenya tells Aemond; Ben is good but not as good as Alysanne or Benjicot. "Alysanne is the best archer I have ever seen, and young Benjicot skills are growing with his age,"
"I see you didn't try and learn while in the North," Aemond teases. Visenya had never been good with a bow and arrow, finding it humiliating in her youth that she wasn't good, so she stuck to her sword and dagger. She likes close combat rather than long distance.
"Alysanne and I kept busy in other ways," Visenya says casually, and Aemond snaps his head toward his wife. "She was also teaching Rickon how to shoot while I was there,"
"Rickon?" Aemond asks, that being one of the things he is trying to process. What did Alysanne and Visenya keep busy with? "Lord Stark has a son?"
"Yes, from his marriage to Arra Norrey. She died during labour," Visenya answers. The young wolf was only around 4 when she stayed in the North. She had never met Cregan's first wife, but she knew Cregan loved her. "He and Alysanne have two daughters as well,"
"They weren't at the wedding," Aemond comments, he would have remembered seeing three children at his wedding and Lord and Lady Stark didn't seem like parents when he had met them. But then again, Visenya and he don't always act like parents either.
"The children stayed in the North. There must always be a Stark in Winterfell," Visenya tells him. She knows that the Starks needed a small break away from their children. Rickon may be a cute and sweet boy, but he can be a handful. "Maybe a marriage between Rickon and Daenys would be a good idea. She would be the Lady of Winterfell,"
Aemond ingorns Visenya words. Thinking of what Alysanne and Visenya could keep busy with.
"You and Lady Stark did seem rather close when she was at Kings Landing for our wedding," Aemond comments, part of him wondering if the two had a relationship that wasn't just a friendship.
"Aemond do want to know about that or would like to stay in the bliss of not knowing," Visenya tells him. She doesn't have a problem telling Aemond about her past relationships.
"I am rather curious about your time in the North," Aemond tells her. He didn't know much about what she had done to keep busy; the only thing that he knew that happened was the loss of their first child.
"Alysanne and I are friends and nothing more," Visenya tells him. "She is very loyal to Cregan,"
"Interesting,"
"Why so curious?" Visenya asks. Part of her worries that Aemond might be mad at her for taking lovers while they had been away from each other, she hadn't dealt well when she had found out about Alys, but she didn't care about Aemond having lovers before they were married.
"You told me already about having relations with other people, but I wonder if you have laid with any men," Aemond tells Visenya. "And how many women have you been with,"
