I woke up and got dressed, and went to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror as I shoved my glasses up. Since my fourteenth birthday, I had grown just a little bit and my features were getting sharper. But I didn't look like my mother too much, there were still things that obviously were because of her, but there were other things. Things that weren't really Eaton features either. I frowned some I was snapped out of thought when Four knocked. I opened the door and he looked down at me. You good? I nodded and he smirked, not the same smirk he used to give. Have a fun time breaking teen minds. I said and he rolled his eyes as I headed for the door. Just be careful! He snapped and I nodded.

Our fieldtrips to other factions continued. This time we were going to Erudite. I sighed some as all the kids in blue were sitting up front chatting. I was ok with it, as I would probably just stick to the library or computer area. The teacher was running through the typical "Behave or you get to sit on the bus" Speech. Why couldn't it have been somewhere else? Hector muttered and Owen looked over. Like where? Candor? Or Dauntless, which means we wouldn't have really had to leave. Or could have stayed when they went to go back to School. Michael said and I rolled my eyes. Are you two really looking forward to when they go to our Faction? I mean sorta. I rolled my eyes again and Hector frowned. Where have I seen that look before?

I tone them out and just watched the buildings blow past. I leaned my head against the glass as I played music. It could be fun. I thought but I couldn't believe it anymore. I always wanted to go there to their library, but after the reports, just thinking about Erudite made my stomach sick. The thought that Fourteen years ago I was found with an Erudite ring, made me sick. I tried to think of ways to stay on the bus without being in trouble. I stood up as we headed off the bus. I was listening to a song called "First" By " Cold War Kids" as we walked inside. Jeanine Matthews was there at the main entrance. We were given visitor badges. I pinned mine to the thigh of my ripped black jeans. Some guy stood next to her. I glanced up briefly and saw he looked like an older version of Eric. I squinted and read the name tag. Coulter. We walked into the library portion and I looked around frowning some, but not my angry or annoyed frown, my interested frown.

Eric

I looked up from what Cara was showing me, about the serum. Shit. She looked over. I forgot the school was going to be here. She said as kids spread out over the library. All but one. Kacie looked around the area before heading towards a shelf. Jeanine was watching her. So was my old man, who didn't think so badly of me now that I was a leader of a Faction. One of her teachers nodding and talking to them about the kids. I gotta get out of here, before she sees me. She nodded and I stood up and walked towards the door. Ah, Frederic. I looked at Jeanine. Going so soon?

Kacie

I looked over and saw Eric. I frowned and smacked Hector's arm. Why is he here? Faction leaders go to other factions frequently. He said and I made a face. We had an hour in the library before going up to labs. What're you doing? He muttered as I went towards them. Going to the other side. Bull. I rolled my eyes and headed towards the other side of the library. Ms. Greyson, earbuds out please. I stopped and rolled my eyes taking my earbud out, it blared music before I turned it off. One of your faction's I presume, Frederic? I looked at the man who looked like Eric, he was looking at Eric. I frowned at him and he just looked down at me raising a pierced eyebrow. Where are you heading? Over to- I gestured to the other side. Where they keep advanced Calculous? I looked over at Jeanine who looked like a wild animal sizing up her prey. Remind me of your name? I uh- This is Kacie Greyson. My teacher turned frowning. I'm not sure what's gotten into her. I-I just- She's having a hard time, her brother died two years ago. Eric said and I frowned and they nodded. I'm just gonna- I sorta pointed to the book cases and they nodded. Of course.
