When I woke up, Uriah was gone, and I was alone. I sat up grabbing my glasses sticking them on. I looked around at the bedroom, my stomach twisting. It was so much different from his room in Erudite. I grab my bag from the floor and opened it, grabbing his laptop. My finger gently traces the Dauntless flame on the top of his computer. I frowned at it. I didn't know he liked art. I mean he had tons of tattoos but it never struck me as he liked art, it struck me as someone who wanted to forget where they came from, or their life before Dauntless. But he had never truly let go of Erudite. What did Jeanine have on him? He said she made him, and I knew it had something to do with me, or it had to have based on his comment, but I didn't know exactly what. I stared at the bar where you'd put in a pin number to unlock it. I looked at the number pad to see which one had the most wearing on them. I checked the numbers up on the key board as well. the 1,6, and 8 had the most wearing. Great. I muttered trying a few combinations but no cigar. I shook my head standing up and walking to the bathroom, my stomach dropping as I saw my hair. i went back to my bag and grabbed the dye that I had stolen from Marlene as well, but hadn't used. It was blue. I nodded some, this had to fix it.

When I came down for breakfast, it was the only thing I was hearing. Tris, had left to see her brother. My stomach twisted as that seemed all sorts of wrong. And I guess the leaders knew that. I walked down a hall and heard Four talking to Tori and Harrison. She's not with her brother! We don't know that. We do because it's Tris! There is no way of knowing unless one of us go. I'll go. No Four, you won't. Tori- I sighed some and stepped in as they kept fighting. I can go. Tori and Four kept fighting, but Harrison turned frowning at me. HEY SHUT UP! he yelled and they looked at me. Kacie, what- I can go to Erudite and find out. Four frowned, he looked confused and yet worried. I've been there, I know my way around, I also have the aptitude for it. We also don't know that. We know that based on how I am, and who I was supposed to be, and what family I come from. Tori nodded some. She's got a point, Four. It's out of the question we're not sending her to- So now you're concerned with what I do? He stared at me. They know you're Divergent Kacie, they will kill you. Funny you wanna talk about that word now. Kacie- Erudite doesn't know, they suspect I just have to throw them off. Tori sorta nodded and looked at Harrison. What do you think? They wouldn't expect us to send a kid. NO! YOU AREN'T ACTUALLY- Fine, but you have to come back and report to us. I nodded some.
I turned and walked out. KACIE STOP! I kept walking but felt Four grab me. What the hell are you doing?!? Going to Erudite. He shook his head. Do you think this is a game? I just looked at him. March yourself back in there and tell them you aren't doing it. No. He frowned letting go. You're pretending to be concerned, but the minute I find Tris there or she comes back because she was visiting her brother, you'll go right back to how it was, where I am left to my own devices and you leave me to my own devices. He just stood there and I nodded some before going back upstairs grabbing the stuff I needed to come with me and walking out. I had just barely escaped Erudite, but I was on my way back.

I sat on the train pulling my brown hair back. Some of the blue bits fell out of the ponytail. I just left it. I felt nervous as I wasn't sure how I was going to get in. I had to think on a fly and I knew that. I stood at Erudite got closer and I jumped. I tucked and popped up. There are armed guards everywhere. I swallowed hard as they hadn't quite noticed me yet. I couldn't give them room to think I was a Divergent giving myself over. You act like you're supposed to be there, like you own the room and situation, that's the only way you survive something. I walked forward to the door, two guards stepped out guns raised. I held my hands up. I need to talk to Dexter. Who's asking for him. I reached for my ID card I had gotten printed off before I came. I palmed it as I raised my hand again. The guy looked at it and grabbed his walkie. Dex we need you at the front entrance, now. He came out and frowned some. Kace? Hey Dex. What're you- I need to speak with Jeanine. He frowned some squinting. Like now.
