Five days. Five days since Four had just been pacing. Five days since the last article had been posted. Four's behavior had only gotten weirder, and he still hadn't told me what was going on. I still hadn't told him about the stuff I had found out either. Today was the final day of part two of training, before they moved to stage three. I was sitting in the parlor drawing. Tori was also drawing. She looked over at me as I shaded. What's going on in that head of yours? I shook my head. Nothing. I said and she frowned. How's school? Fine. I said grabbing my pencil. Ok, Since you are deflecting I'm gonna talk. She said and I sighed some. So I recently had to give this guy a Jacobs Ladder. Oh my God. I muttered as I turned red. He silently cried THE WHOLE TIME! I smirked some shaking my head. Who's dumb enough to get that? Dexter. I looked up at her my jaw dropped and she nodded. I bit my lip some and she looked up. Yes? Could you maybe, give me a piercing? Well I sure as hell am not giving you a Jacob's ladder. No! I snapped and she smiled. Sure kid, I can do that.

I heard mutters about it, the progress scoring had been let out. The transfers were uptight. I went into the mess hall and then I heard it. The stiff. I inched closer to the conversation Will and Christina were having. It was about Tris and her time. 2:45. My stomach pitted. That was fast. But they were mad because she was doing well. And what if Peter is right? Will asked and I frowned. I don't think she is manipulating us, fully. I shook my head. I didn't understand where all this anger was coming from. But they were supposed to be her friends. I went to step forward, when I felt an arm go around me. Nope, not today sunshine. I shook my head as Eric took me out of the room and dropped in the hall outside of the mess hall. Really? I muttered and he squinted. What has you all angry? I shook my head. People who claims to be other people's friends, not actually understanding the terms of Dauntless Friends.

Eric shook his head and turned me away from the door. Well, not everyone does, in my opinion that's all fake. You learn who your true friends are, by keeping your friends close, and your enemies closer. And then you really find out which one is which. I rolled my eyes as we headed off. Spoken like a true Erudite. Except I'm not. I got a true Dauntless Aptitude. Have you seen your brother? Max really still on his ass about being a leader? It's like he can't no for an answer. Eric said and I shook my head. I haven't. I said and he nodded some. I wish Max would take no for an answer. You and me both. I said and he frowned over at me. Do my eyes deceive me, or do you have a tongue piercing? I looked at Eric who had this amazed smirk. Four is gonna freak out when he sees it. Oh well. I said and he shook his head. You really are about pissing him off right now. He started the war. He shook his head. If you see him, tell him I'm looking for him, or tell him to go see Max. You got it. I said.

I walked into the gun range and found Four. I frowned as Tris had ahold of Four's hand. My blood boiled. He was her instructor. He was not meant to be flirting with her. Four. I snapped and he looked over, turning the subtle shade of pink he used to turn when embarrassed. She let go of his hand, and ran out. I just stared at him. You got something to tell me? I asked, it was more of a demand really. I just stopped her to congratulate her on coming out as first. Right because it's perfectly normal for Instructors to hold their initiate's hand, like that, for that long. He frowned some. Or to flirt with her. I was drunk. I just stared at him. I didn't know why I was this angry about it. Maybe it still had to do with the fact he lied to her about who I was to him. Regardless of if she found out who he was or not. He shouldn't have lied about it. What did you want Kacie? Eric wanted you. I said turning and walking out.

Four went out that night with Zeke and Shauna. I just sorta grunted some in acknowledgement that he had said something to me. I really didn't care. I was listening to 'Burning Pile" by "Mother Mother" doing my homework. I couldn't focus. I shook my head and stood up. I had been looking at the pages too long. I walked out of the apartment. I found it weird that they weren't back yet. I mean what were they even doing? Its not like Four would willingly do anything daring, unless he was drunk. I frowned as I heard voices coming from near the dorms. I knew I shouldn't go investigating, but I had this knack of natural curiosity that always got me into some sort of trouble. I got to an area that had lost of shadows and crouched in corner behind a trashcan. I couldn't tell where those voices were coming from, but they were getting closer. I never forget. I stretched some and saw people coming right at me. I ducked and stopped my breathing. My heart was pounding in my ears as they stopped right next to the trashcan. I was holding in my shakes.
