October 14th
I had been hiding out in Dauntless close to a week. In the week I had been here , I learned a few things. 1: Evelyn had taken control. Complete control, ruling out the Dauntless leaders. That one always made me laugh a little bit, mainly because Tori's Triumphant power trip was short-lived based on my source. 2: Prisoner's trials were starting, and I guess rumors had it, there had been some midnight executions that had been happening. Part of me wondered if the Stiff had been one. But then I remembered Cara was taken prisoner. I hoped she hadn't been put to death. She was the last surviving link to Eric that I had, besides Ed. 3: Evelyn was looking for me. I had only left Dauntless once. It was when I was told she was looking for me. I should have known not to get excited, but I did. It wasn't exactly the happy reunion I had dreamed about. I punched a punching bag as I thought about it.
October 10th memory
I had gotten notice that Evelyn had been looking for me. I stared at the words on the computer. I had been using Four's log in to monitor things. To hear from my inside source. I typically got either crypted emails, with information. I hadn't dared to leave the Dauntless compound. It was too dangerous. Too many Factionless wandering around for me to leave. I knew if I was found it probably wouldn't be a good thing. But then there was a small bit of hope. Evelyn was looking. My mother was looking for me, her daughter. I stood up my sneakers squeaking. It had been so long since I had been outside. I stuck my earbuds in and walked to an exit. I checked to make sure it was going to be clear for me to make a run for the trains. It was raining a heavy cold rain. It'd make the streets freeze over this evening. I ran and grabbed the handle of the train and hoisted myself up on. My grip almost slipped with all the water on it. I stood there for a minute looking up at the wall. Near the ceiling there was a worn map that had different places marking where you were and what train line you were on. From the looks of it I was on an old red line. I looked over and saw the camera in the corner. I found the cameras interesting. I always knew Dauntless was watching, but I had heard once from someone else, that someone else was watching. It made me wonder who was watching. I shook my head as I couldn't think about that right now. I stood as the train was getting closer to Erudite. Don't go. I frowned looking around. I shook my head turning back to the door, this time I felt like someone was grabbing my shoulder. I said Don't! I knew the voice. I shook my head closing my eyes. Eric was gone. I shrugged my shoulders up and then down stiffly, before I launched out of the trail. I landed on my feet, which gave me the ability to stand up, into a walk. I had to get in, and I knew I couldn't get in the same way I did the day of the attack. It was too slick. I knew I could find a way in though, and I did. A room on the lower levels that was empty. I knew Evelyn would be on a higher level, but that was easy. I took the stairs. The whole time the bodiless voice of Eric kept telling me not to go, but she was looking for me.
I got up to the meeting room. The door was cracked open. And there has been zero sign of her since the attack? I heard Evelyn ask and someone sighed. No! It's like she just completely vanished. Edward. I knew his voice. Kacie is smart, she felt threatened, she'll hide, and when she's upset she hides very well. Four. He was looking for me too? Why? He hadn't given two shits about me since he got with Tris. Not really. And plus I had worked with his father to under mind him. We've looked everywhere and nothing has turned up. I heard someone slam something. Tobias- She is a child! She can't survive long on her own. Little did he know I was good at surviving. We'll find her, as long as she is still within these walls, she will be found. I stepped away as someone was walking, the door opened and Four walked out, and walked right passed me. The door was still cracked open though. I leaned back over and looked through the crack. Evelyn? When you find her, arrest her. I'm sorry? She is a dangerous traitor. I fear just as bad as her brother. Tobias? No, the Dauntless traitor, Eric Coulter. I frowned some as my stomach dropped. Treat her as such. And if she fights us on leaving? You know what to do. She made a gun motion with her hands. She's gonna kill me. I thought. I looked over before standing and running. I felt a little hurt. But, of course, she wasn't looking for me, because she was worried about me. She was looking for me because she thought I was a threat. In her book, threats had to be executed.
