DECLAN It's been 1 week since we left Addison, I miss her like crazy. Training has been crazy and I've not been able to speak to her as much as I'd like. They're doing the gender reveal tonight, we've got 2 hours until training starts and I'm sitting here looking at my phone looking through the pictures of me and Ads. I'm over 3 hours away from her and it's awful. Im not the only one struggling as Mason is too, he hates not being near his sister, he won't fully admit it but he's cried a couple of times. I'm pulled out of my thoughts by Phil getting my attention. "Sorry mate what you say" I ask and he laughs and repeats "you excited for this evening mate" I look at all the lads looking at me and I can't do it, the words don't come out,I'm having my gender reveal here and my fiancé is over 3 hours away, I get up and run out the room tears streaming down my face. "Dec come back. Dec" I hear them call behind me but I can't stay strong, I just want to go home, I want my Ads.
MASON "What happened there. I've upset him" Phil says and looks worried. "No lad it ain't you, it's killing him being away from Ads, it's killing me being away from her. He's excited to find out the gender but he'd always planned to be with her and she's been so tired recently they've not had much time to talk, he won't be honest about how much he misses her. I'll go find him see you boys on the pitch" I say to the boys and head to find Dec. Me and Dec are sharing a room, we actually have one next to each other but they have a door which joins them and we've both been feeling so low and shit we've been sharing. I open the door and see him sitting on the floor crying, I sit next to him and hold him letting him cry it all out. "I just miss her Mase, she's carrying my baby and she's on her own, when I FaceTime her she looks exhausted, I know she's not sleeping properly and I doubt she's eating properly. I'm just so worried" he sobs to me and I've noticed the same. "Decs, she's stubborn so she's probably keeping herself busy to keep herself distracted. She knows to call us if she needs us, I know for a fact she misses you and me loads, but she wants us here. We need to focus on training so we can go out on Saturday at Wembley and win with her watching. I hate being away from her but I'm glad I've got you here with me, playing for my country with my brother." He looks up and a small smile creeps on his face. "Let's go training then find out if we've got a new lion or lioness coming for the country." We both laugh and head to the pitch, knowing football will keep us going until Saturday.
DECLAN It's 6pm and we're on the field, the whole team even Southgate has come out, Chilly walks towards me with a tablet with Ads face on FaceTime, he hands it to me grinning. "Hey baby" I say excitedly, "hey, you ready to find out whether it's a boy or girl" I nod and hand the tablet back to Chilly as Addison wants to see mine and Masons reaction, there's a ball set up in a goal, I've got to kick a football at it and it will explode with pink or blue. Everyone's looking and I kick the ball then all I see is blue, it's a boy I'm having a son, I run up and hug Mason, I'm glad he's here with me at this moment, we look at each other and we're both crying. We both head to see Addison on the tablet. "You're having a son baby" she says to me. I can't speak I just cry, Mason comes over and she says "you've got a nephew uncle masey" and we both tell her how much we love her. We're going to have dinner now so I promise to call her later.
