Chapter 35

ADDISON:
It's the the semi finals coming up tomorrow, and the boys are working hard. I decide to take Teddy for a walk around the camp, he's a bit more aware now of looking at surroundings. We're walking through the camp and Teddy is making noises babbling whilst looking around. We've been walking for about 30 minutes when Teddy starts getting upset, I take him out the pram and give him a cuddle. We carry on walking, I've got myself a bit lost and can't see anyone. I keep walking and Teddy keeps crying, he won't settle with a bottle or a cuddle. I can feel myself getting stressed as the Italian workers keep staring as they walk past, then a man barges past me pushing me over to the right, I feel myself fall down but there's a few steps, I hold Teddy tight to protect him but as I land I feel myself hurt, the tears fall down. I look down and Teddy looks absolutely fine. I get myself up and put Teddy in his pram. I look around and no-one is around. My wrist hurts so much, I've got blood coming from my lip and a small cut on my head. I try and walk back to find someone to help me but the pain is too much. Teddy is asleep now and I can't carry on walking I drop down on to the floor and cry, I try finding my phone but when I do the screen is broken from the fall.
Soon I hear footsteps followed by "Addi, omg what happened are you okay?" I look up and see Jack and Jordan H, standing there. Through my tears I say "I got barged into and I fell with Teddy, he's okay but I think I've hurt my wrist, I tried finding my way back to where all you boys would be but I got lost then the pain was too much" I cry even more now. Jordan holds me and Teddy starts crying so Jack picks him up calming him down. "Right, I'm taking you to the medical centre to get your wrist checked and that cut sorted. Jack take Teddy, go and tell Dec and Mase what's happened" Jordan says and Jack walks away carrying Teddy whilst pushing the pram, Jordan helps me up and we head to see the doctors.
JACK:
I'm dreading having to tell the boys this, they're going to be so upset. All the boys are training inside at the moment. I leave the pram by the door and walk in with Teddy. All the boys, even Gareth freezes to look at me, Mase is the last one to turn around, Dec isn't in the room at the moment. As soon as Mason sees me with Teddy, he runs over "Jack, why have you got Teddy? Where is Addi?" I take a deep breath knowing that everyone is now silent and listening. "Mase, she's with Hendo at the medical centre. She took Ted on a walk around the base camp, she ended up getting lost and then she got pushed into and fell down a few steps. She had Teddy in her arms but she protected him, she's cut her head, her lip and may have a broken wrist. Me and Jordan found her crying, she had tried to walk back here but she didn't know where to go and she was in pain. Her phone broke in the fall so she couldn't call anyone" his face breaks. I give him Teddy as he cuddles his nephew, then Dec walks in and immediately runs over "why is Teddy here and where's Ads?" Mason explains and then Gareth tells them both to go to Addison. Mason and Dec hug me and thank me, I smile at them sympathetically "It's nothing, anyway Uncle Jack will always have cuddles with this little dude" before they leave, Gareth says "Lads, why don't you leave Teddy here, he's got all his stuff in that bag. I'll keep an eye on him, plus he's got plenty of the boys here who will cuddle him" they agree and hand Teddy back to me.

ADDISON:
I'm in the medical centre, they've got all the machines like a hospital would but it's all supplied by the England team. I'm in the room, and Jordan hasn't left my side, the door opens and in run Dec and Mase. "Ads are you okay" Dec comes over and gives me a kiss and cuddle, I smile at them both, "yeah I'm good, they've cleaned my cuts up, I've fractured my wrist and just got some bruising on my back and ribs." Mason comes over and cuddles me "before you worry, Ted is with Gareth and the boys. We'll I actually think Jack will probably keep him the whole time but boss said they'd look after him to come see you" I smile, then Dec and Mase go over to Jordan and hug him thanking him for everything. Jordan leaves and heads back, and we will see him later.
2 hours later and the doctors let me go with pain killers and my wrist in a cast for a few weeks. We head back to find the boys who are now relaxing from after training. I walk into the room and I see Jack on one of the sofas, he's got Teddy in his arms and he's making animal noises making him laugh. All the other boys come up to me, asking if I'm okay and giving me a hug. Jack brings Teddy over and says "glad your okay Ads, but that does mean I have to give this little one back now" he puts his bottom lip out. Ben adds "Jacks been amazing with him, we did make him share cuddles but he made sure he got him back" I smile at the thought, Mase and Dec are talking to Gareth. I look at Jack "maybe Teddy can stay with Uncle Jack for a bit longer if you want. We'll hang here a bit" I see Jack grin, "I'd love that, I think Uncle Jack is his favourite" I laugh then hear "No one beats uncle Masey" everyone laughs as Dec and Mase come and sit with me.
It's now 9pm, we're back in the room, Teddy is asleep. I'm laying in bed with Dec, he's giving me cuddles. We fall asleep making sure he's ready for the semi-final tomorrow.
The next day
The boys got up and ready for the game early and I said I'll meet them there. I hear a knock on the hotel room door. I open it and it's Rebecca, she's all ready. "Am I running late?" I say and she laughs shaking her head "no hun, I got ready early so I can come help you with Teddy. I can't see it being easy dressing a 7 month old one handed. I laugh, I hadn't thought about how I was going to do it. She's a massive help and soon we head to the stadium.

We're in the stands and the boys are playing really well, it's currently 1-1 with 10 minutes left, we don't want it to go to extra time as our nerves are wrecked. At the 89th minute, Jude gets the ball and passes it to Jordan who shoots it's into the net, the whistle blows and the stadium erupts, they've done it they're in the finals. Me and Rebecca hug each other whilst screaming and cheering for the boys. We're both crying with happiness and head down to meet and congratulate our boys.
