DECLAN: We've been back at the hospital for about an hour and half, the boys all asked how Teddy took it and we explained he was devastated but he's going to play with Ronnie today. Jordan walks over and says "Dec mate, I know it's going it be hard but I think you need to make a post as people have seen us at the hospital and headlines are flying around making stories up" I nod as I've seen a few of them. Declanrice: This is a photo I took 36 hours ago, what I didn't know is this was the last time for a while I'd have her awake and in my arms. Late last night my beautiful wife was in a serious car accident, the accident left her unconscious, with lots of medical help needed. Ads, me and our kids love you more than words can ever say, please stay strong and come back to us. -4days later- It's been 5 days since the accident, and the whole team has been amazing to me, Mason and the kids. It's Christmas tomorrow, Addison is still not awake, the doctors have reassured us, her body is just healing. Mason and I have been taking turns in going home at night with the children. As tomorrow is Christmas, we need to make it as normal as possible for Teddy, lucky enough Evelyn doesn't understand. Becca and Phil have said we can take Teddy to their house after we've opened presents with him, so we can come to the hospital, Bex and Jordan have offered to have Evelyn for us, the girls have been amazing help and honestly I don't think I could've done it without them. After a few days, we managed to send the boys home, they come in and visit but I send them regular updates. It's now 9pm, Masons at home with the little ones, I hear the door open, as I look around I see Jack then Chilly, I look at them confused "alright lads, what you doing here?" Jack says "it's Christmas Eve, we are 2 single lads with no children. Go home to your kids, wake up and see Teds excitement when he sees that Santa's been and give him the best Christmas morning possible, Ads here will be safe all night and Christmas morning with Chilly and I" I stand up and look at them both "are you being serious? It's Christmas Eve lads and tomorrow's Christmas Day, I can't ask that from you boys." Ben giggles and says "you're not asking, we're offering. Go to your boy, give him the best Christmas morning possible, we will call if anything happens, and we'll send regular updates. Your son needs you, also it's what Ads would want for the kids" I nod and hug them tight. "Thank you boys so much" they tell me to go. I pull up at home and walk inside, Mason looks at me confused "Dec what's happened, why are you here?" I smile and explain about the boys turning up. He decides to thank them as well in the group chat.
