Lionel realized that he was tied to a chair as soon as he regained his consciousness. He chuckled, shaking his head at their old school way of operations. He silently thanked Katherine for teaching him how to escape from situations like this. He blinked twice to adjust his eyes to the dimly lit room. He scanned his surroundings and realized that it was the same room his sister was in. Sure, enough he noticed his sister tied to a chair with a rag shoved in her mouth. However, she wasnt crying or the least bit stressed like he expected her to be. She just curiously stared at him as if seeing him for the first time.

Lionel opened his mouth to call out to her but decided to take a second look at her. The girl did look like her but she wasnt Lana. Anybody else would be easily fooled by how similar they looked but Lionel would recognise his baby sister even if she was in a crowd. One look at the girls eyes made Lionel confirm that it wasnt his sister. But he wasnt at ease just yet. He wouldnt be at ease until he confirms that she was safe. Before he could try to talk to the girl, The rusty metal door to the room opened with a loud sound that made both of them flinch in annoyance

Nikolai and his men walked in with a proud satisfied smile on his face. Lionel quietly observed them and noticed that there were ten of them. He wouldnt be able to take them all, especially since he had no weapon on him. Except, for his watch which had a small knife attached to it. He quietly opened it and began cutting the rope slowly. He didnt want to rush and alert his men. He was sure that they would have taken the dagger he always hid in his belt. It wasnt time to break free, yet. He remembered what Katherine always said to him. Always take them by surprise. He knew that they would have already studied his character. Lionel is supposed to be a soft weak man who would cry at the slightest problem given to him. Thats what he wanted them think. Nobody knew that he was trained in secret by Katherine herself. Except for Ryder but even Ryder didnt know how powerful Lionel had become. When it was the matter of Lionels safety, Katherine didnt trust anyone.

Nikolai laughed like a maniac. He had managed to exploit Katherine Xaviers greatest weakness. The image of Katherine on her knees, crying and begging for mercy gave him a sadistic joy. Welcome to my humble abode Mr. Lawson. I hope the facilities are up to your liking. Nikolai mocked. His men laughed at the poorly made joke and the girl at the corner of the room rolled her eyes in annoyance. Lionel managed to look calm and smirked. Its quite disappointing. My fiancées dungeon has mice and its smelly and disgusting. But I always thought it lacked something. After seeing you, Im sure its your blood, splattered on the wall. Lionel said, loving the rage that appeared on Nikolais face. And just like he expected, Nikolai punched him in the face. Lionel hated it but he wanted a visible bruise on his face. It was going to help him in his plan.

Youre confident that your girlfriend is going to save you, arent you? Nikolai spat, gripping Lionels face harshly. Nikolai laughed in amusement when Lionel glared him. Are you even sure who your girlfriend is? Do you think your girlfriend tells you everything? I bet you think Katherine is just the head of Spanish mafia. Well, do you even know how she became the don? Nikolai sneered at him. None of my business dude. Lionel said nonchalantly which pissed Nikolai off even more. According to his sources, Lionel was supposed to breakdown and start crying, not mouthing off. Maybe, he was expecting Katherine to save him. But as far as he knows, Katherine hasnt left her house yet.

Before Nikolai could threaten him more, Lionel spoke. I heard you got rejected by Kate. Is that what this tantrum is all about? Lionel chuckled at the enraged Nikolai. No wonder she rejected you dude, Ive never said this to anyone but honestly, youre ugly. Lionel said with pity which made Nikolai even more furious. But instead of hitting Lionel, he took out his gun and pointed at the girl, tied to the chair. He smirked, looking at Lionel. Lionel however found the situation amusing but decided to play along. He put on his classic puppy face and acted scared. Dont hurt her. He said in a panic. Nikolai was overjoyed that he finally managed to break him. He put his finger on the trigger and pressed it. But instead of shooting the girl, he shot the ground next to her.
