Chapter 15

Lionel's POV....

I woke up with a killer headache. I hadn't drunk too much but I felt like crap.

So much for making my girlfriend jealous.I sighed.I reached for my phone to see if there's any calls or messages from Katherine.

If she had really seen my post,my phone would have a hundred missed calls and messages.

The light from my phone made my headache worse. I squinted my eyes to see properly. But there wasn't any calls or message from her.

Maybe she hasn't seen it? My inner voice said.I almost changed my mind and decided to delete the post before she saw it. The idea didn't seem quite good anymore.

"Did you have a good sleep
Mr. Lawson?" A voice, which is too familiar asked me. But I was alone in my apartment!

I quickly jolted out of my bed and searched for the source of voice.

What I saw freezed me onto my  spot. I'm screwed!
Katherine was comfortably sitting on my couch with her chin rested on her right thumb and index finger. What a gorgeous woman! I almost drooled.

She didn't look angry but she had a mysterious smile on her lips.

Uh... Oh! That's not a good smile. It's a smile she gives before destroying someone.

"Kate!..... When?...... How.... " I started stuttering. Words refused to come out of my mouth.

"What?! Aren't you happy to see your girlfriend? Or... Did you have someone else in your mind? Someone who you met in club perhaps?" She asked seriously.

Crap! She's seen the post. I now regretted my actions. But I had to act cool.

"Well.... Since my girlfriend didn't bother to inform me personally that she'll be leaving the country..... I just decided to catch up with my friends at the club." I shrugged my shoulders casually.

But I knew that i was in deep crap. However I still decided to act fool and hope she forgets it.But apparently that's not how the world works.Stupid world! Kate's eyes darkened at my word's.

"So you decided to let some bitch put her claws on you?" She got up from the couch and slowly started coming towards me.

My mind screamed me to back away but I stood my ground.

"I didn't bring her home. It was just a dance Kate. You don't have to get so jealous." I told her as if it wasn't a big deal. Why is the ground not opening and swallowing me whole?

"By just a dance do you mean grinding your bodies together and kissing?" She was dangerously close now. Wow, she smells so good!

"You didn't bring her home,you've never met her before, you were just dancing with her and posted a picture of her kissing you in facebook. You've never posted a picture like that before. So it means that you did it on purpose! What are you playing at, Lionel?" She asked me.

It was no use arguing with her now. She found out the truth.

"Were you trying to make me jealous?" She asked me and pushed me onto my bed.Please climb on me.I almost asked her but I was glad I didn't.I needed to get a grip.She now directly stood in front of me.

"ye... Yes." I said.

"You're playing a very dangerous game Mr. Lawson. Nobody messes with Katherine Xavier and is pardoned without punishment." she said and removed her coat. She was now dressed in a white blouse and a black pencil skirt that didn't do a good job in hiding her curves.
