Chapter 34 - Costello!

Lionel's POV

I rubbed the tiredness from my eyes and started reading the files in front of me. Asking Ravi to not show his face to me had taken a toll on me.

Suddenly the door to my office opened with a bang and an overly excited Ravi rushed in with a wide grin.

I gave him my deadliest glare. He forgets his place sometimes but before I can throw some colourful words at him, he opens his mouth.
"Guess what?!"

I raised my eyebrows at his over excitement. I mocked a thinking gesture before giving him a sarcastic reply.
"Hmm, let me guess... You finally pooped out the stick that was stuck up your ass?"

He opened his mouth in shock at my reply. But soon his shock turned into anger. However, I'm unable to understand why the hell he is irritated. It was me who had to do the work that was supposed to be his.

It was me who should be angry. He huffed and sat in front of me.

"You told me to get an appointment to meet Zane Costello and as I'm the greatest pa any boss could get.."he started praising himself but stopped once he noticed my glare and continued. "You're supposed to be meeting Zane Costello in an hour." he finished.

I raised my eyebrows at his statement and he understood what would come out of my mouth so he answered before I could ask him.
"I know its a very short notice but we're lucky that we are able to meet him."

I sighed and winded up my work. This meeting was necessary.
"Fine, let's go." I said

Zane Costello's POV

I glared at the drink in my hand as my mind was occupied with random thoughts. But what annoyed me was that I will be seeing him today. I want to see how he could make Kate all hard for him. I wanted to see what qualities in him made Kate fall for him.

It was supposed to be me she should have fallen in love with. It was me who deserved to be with her.

One of my guards informed me that he has arrived and I nodded my head gesturing to bring them to me.

I was currently sitting in one of my night clubs. I watched the drunk people dancing, from the glass wall of the vvip section.

I saw him walk inside the club with his p.a trailing behind him. His aura radiated power and his face had the classic Don't fuck with me unless you want to be burried six feet under the ground look.

"Lionel Lawson." he introduced himself with a firm handshake.
I gestured him to sit and asked about his odd request to meet the capo di capi. I didn't like beating arround the bush.

And his request caught my interest. I was the don of Italian mafia and even I didn't get the chance to  meet the capo. Hell, nobody has ever seen the capo's face till now.

"I can get you a ticket but I have a condition."I said.

His eyes narrowed at my words but nonetheless he nodded me to continue.

"I want twenty five percent shares of Lawson Inc."  I demanded with a smirk. I could see his clenched jaw and tight fist but he very quickly masked his anger and agreed to the deal.

I couldn't hide the surprised look that formed on my face.
I also couldn't stop the next question that I blurted out.
"Why the fuck do you so badly want to meet the capo?"

He raised one of his eyebrows in question but I could hear gears turning in his head, formulating what his next answer should be.

"That's none of your business Costello! You got your deal and now it's time for you to complete your end of the deal." He said. I could sense the power radiating from him. Now I realize what made Kate fall for him. He was what she always wanted in a man. To her,  he was fucking perfect.

My fists clenched at his words. I knew that it was very easy for me to put a bullet through this pricks head. But I also knew that its impossible for me to do that.

If Kate finds out that I've hurt a single hair on his head, she'll rip my heart out of my chest and crush it beneath her feet. She'll shove my balls up my ass and my dick down my throat.

"Fine. Follow me." I grit through my teeth.

I smirk on my way out. This jerk here thinks he can meet the Capo. But he doesn't know that the Capo has never shown his face to anyone. Not even to the five main bosses.
