Grey let me have as much time here as I wanted. I'm the one who texted him to meet back up.
I knew I was free with Greyson, but this just confirms it. He let me wander around a large crowd all by myself with enough money to make it out of state. And he didn't give me any rules when I left.
He trusts me like I trust him. Which means we're actual friends. For real this time. The bracelets are the things that seal the deal, but this is just proof.
I smile to myself when I catch sight of Toby and Greyson, lounging at a table in the food court. Happily, I hurry over with the many bags I have from different stores around the mall.
Greyson looks over at me when he notices me. He tilts his head at the many bags on both of my arms. "Have fun?" He questions with a quiet laugh.
I nod quickly, knowing I am a stereotype right now. But that's not such a bad thing. "I'm sorry, I spent all the money you gave me." I apologize sincerely and set all my bags down by the table, stealing a seat beside Greyson.
"You were supposed to." Greyson nods, uncaring.
Toby chuckles. "Did you get yourself a friend?"
I narrow my eyes at him. "I have no idea what you're talking about." I grumble. "Nosy little jerk." I add on a huff.
"What the fuck are you guys talking about?" Grey groans, left completely in the dark about what Toby's joking about.
I shake my head at him. "Nothing, Greyson." I dismiss. He huffs at me. "Did you guys have fun?" I ask, glancing between them. I'm sure they got to catch up some more while I was gone.
Toby nods. "We did." He smiles. "We got Grey a phone number." He adds, nodding to Greyson. Greyson shakes his head.
My eyebrows raise. "A phone number?" I repeat.
"A pretty lady in the arcade thingy gave it to him." Toby grins, looking more excited than Greyson is.
Grey scoffs. "You paid her." He accuses.
"I didn't." Toby argues. "That was all you." He adds, looking sincere.
"I didn't do anything." Greyson insists. "Didn't even look at her."
"Your irresistible charm got her from across the room." Toby teases, laughing to himself. Grey rolls his eyes. I hum quietly, glancing between them as they both still argue about it.
He has a different girl's number in his pocket right now, and I think I hate it.
Toby sighs and glances at his watch. "Damn. Five o'clock already." He murmurs. My eyebrows raise, silently impressed so much time has passed already. We met up here at one.
Then again, it's a big mall and I spent quite some time in the stores.
"Anyone up for dinner?" Toby smiles at us. "My treat." He adds.
Greyson chuckles. "How can I deny free food?" He smiles and looks over at me. "Hungry?" He asks.
I nod. "Yeah, but I want to go back to the hotel really quick." I request. "I need to drop my bags off and check on Clem." I add.
