I lean my head against Grey's shoulder as we sit on the couch together, looking down at the many kittens on the ground.

Rosie giggles wildly to herself as she lifts up Nacho excitedly. She hugs him tightly to her chest.

"Easy." Grey warns her. Rosie only giggles in response. He shakes her head at her.

Toby chuckles at her. "She holds that cat like Soph holds Clementine." He points out, nodding to the way Rosie squeezes Nacho.

Greyson tilts his head at Rosie. He smiles when he sees it. I purse my lips. "I don't hug her that tight." I argue.

"You do, honey. You do." Greyson acts like he's assuring me as he nods softly. I make a face, still stubborn.

"She definitely loves him, that's for sure." Toby murmurs, grinning down at Rosie and the rest of the kittens.

"Not too much, hopefully." Mick grimaces at her. He knows she'll cry if she loves him too much and doesn't want to let him go.

I frown a little as I look to Grey. He knows what I'm thinking already. He shrugs softly at me.

"Remi is going to stay here with Toby." I announce. It's only news to Mick. "Maybe Nacho could stay with you and Rosie." I quietly suggest.

We don't plan on adopting the kittens out to strangers. Close friends only so that Clem and the rest of the kittens can see their siblings and babies.

So far, Toby has been the only one to adopt one of the kittens. Remi. And although we are in no rush to give any of the kittens away, it does make sense if Rosie seems to have already formed a bond with Nacho.

Mick tilts his head at Rosie. Rosie looks up at him with wide, whimsical eyes. She's basically begging him.

This is our second time visiting Toby since we decided to begin our wandering journey. The last time we were here, we saw Toby mostly. Greyson was the only one to see Mick.

This time around, Greyson brought Mick and Rosie over to Toby's. Earlier he told me that the last time we were here, he visited Mick and found out that the chances of Rosie being put with Mick were higher.

From an anonymous tip to the police, it was discovered that Bethany Langston's home had the body of a man under a tree right in her backyard.

The same man she was married to years ago. A man that was never reported missing by his lovely wife.

And as it turns out, that doesn't look great for a woman who is in the middle of a custody battle.

Toby shook his head when he told us what he saw on the news about Grey's mom. He said how terrible and continued on, completely oblivious.

Mick and Grey shared looks. That was about it.

Interesting, isn't it? How a person can just...snap one day. Murder their own loved one then continue on with life like nothing happened.

Hm?

Of course, since a suspected murderer is certainly not fit to be a mother, Mick was granted full custody of their girl, Rosie. Something Greyson smiled at when he learned.
