✶𝙶𝚛𝚎𝚢✶
I sigh and glance out the window, watching Sophia for a little longer before I look away to continue cleaning the kitchen up.
She's decided that we need flowers in front of the cabin. Pretty ones.
I bought her the supplies she said she needed, so now she's just doing whatever she wants to.
What she's doing now does look pretty, to be fair. I do my best to offer her help when she needs or wants it, but for the most part she seems to want to do it herself.
Sophia likes doing these things by herself. I've started to notice that she's very slowly beginning to make this place her own—which is exactly what I wanted.
We now have an entire corner in the living room dedicated to these weird hanging plant things. Which I don't really...get. But Sophia says it adds to the room.
Adds what? I'm not sure. Maybe she wants our guests to believe they're lost in a forest or something—I don't know, but I don't question it. Clem likes it too.
Speaking of Clem.
Sophia refuses to lay off the fucking treats, so when I look to my right, all I see is this mountain of a cat waddle on over to me.
She sits at my feet and begins her screaming. She wants up on the counter, but can't actually get up there herself anymore.
So, she screams until one of us relents and picks her up. That person is usually Sophia. The only time I'll do it is if Sophia puts her hands on her hips and squints at me.
But Sophia isn't here right now. She's outside, busy with her forest plants.
"Fuck you." I whisper to Clem, like Soph can hear me through thick wood and glass.
Clem cries desperately at me. I step away from her to open the pantry to look for a snack.
Sophia said she wanted to make dinner tonight. I don't know what she's planning, but I do know I haven't seen her practice anything.
So...
"For fucks sake, Clementine." I shoot her a glare when her screams get louder. She cries at me as she lays down, getting comfortable. She knows we'll be here for a minute.
I roll my eyes, but do my best to ignore her. She pauses for a moment just to lick herself. It's disgusting.
I should've brought home a dog. But now, Sophia's attached.
"Go away." I dismiss her with a wave of my hand. "I don't want you in here." I add.
Sophia says it's good to establish boundaries with others. This is me establishing boundaries with her chubby ass cat.
Clem cries at me but stands up to waddle on out of the room. I tip my chin up at her retreating figure, satisfied.
It's about time we started putting rules up for where the cat is and is not allowed.
Second on the list: The bed. She can't even get up there herself anymore, so it's perfect.
"Grey, Grey, Grey, Grey!" Sophia begins loudly chanting my name. Apparently, she's done outside.
