48 - Agastopia

I'm tempted to fall asleep on the couch by Sophia's gentle touch in my hair combined with our favorite movie on the tv.

It's surprising how many of our nights end exactly like this. I could never get tired of it and never complain, no matter how many times we watch this movie.

The only downside is the end of the movie. We usually watch this movie last if we're having a full on movie night.

As soon as the end rolls around, our night together ends. I get off of her, we clean our little mess, then we usually either go our separate ways or she follows me to my room.

The end of our movie is coming soon.

Clementine already left. She probably went upstairs. That means it's up to her which room Sophia goes to.

After Clementine falls asleep, Sophia won't move her unless she's had a nightmare and is in her way to my room. Clementine usually calls the shots because of this.

That fucking cat never helps me out. She always goes to Sophia's room.

Sophia sighs deeply the moment we get the black screen that pops up just before the credits roll.

I groan. "No." I argue with her sigh that basically marks the end of the night. "Let's sleep out here." I suggest. I'm not even tired, but I can lay with her while she sleeps.

Sophia laughs at that. "Do you want back pain?" She questions, reminding me how uncomfortable it is to sleep on the couch.

"I don't care." I huff and dig my face in her neck.

Sophia laughs still and pats my back, urging me up. I don't want to, but I lift myself up off of her. She smiles at me and sits up.

"Can we watch another movie?" I try. Maybe she'll fall asleep during that. "I'll make popcorn." I already offer, getting up off the couch. Sophia still laughs while I quickly leave the living room to grab popcorn before she can leave.

"Grey, don't bother!" She calls after me. I pause, already having made it to the kitchen. "Come out here." She beckons.

I grin, knowing that means she's going to sleep on the couch with me. With that, I abandon the popcorn idea and happily walk out to the living room again where she's already sat down on the couch still.

"It'll be fine." I assure, dropping down to sit beside her. "We could fall asleep to another movie." I quickly add. I don't care what other movie we put on.

Sophia hums at that. "Go ahead." She sighs, humoring me now. I don't mind it and quickly get up to find a new movie.

I pick up a random movie and slip it in. It doesn't matter, this is just the movie we're supposed to fall asleep to on the couch.

Sophia shakes her head at me with a small smile while I quickly sit back down right beside her. "Why're you so excited?" She laughs, turning in her seat to face me.

I turn my head and smile back at her. "I always want to fall asleep when we have movie nights." I point out. She knows this. "You never let me."

"You can sleep here." Sophia shrugs me off, uncaring.

"I want you to sleep here with me though." I insist. "You will, right? You're going to stay here?" I quickly ask. She never said she would. She said we could watch another movie.
