I can't believe it's Monday already
It was just Sunday. My alarm went off off at six thirty am, l was sleeping so good. Stef and I had a lovely weekend together, l have a appointment with Dr. Whitmore schedule for 1:00 this afternoon. Stef's meeting me there
I pulled up to the new Haven children's home, l looked over Francesca Taylor Banks flie. It left me in tears after reading it, this little girl has been through so much. She deserves parents who can give the attention and the love she craves, l walked inside the building where l'm greeted by my colleagues. My assistant Sasha gives me the run down of my schedule for the morning, l head down to my office and unlock the door. Casey's trailing behind me like a lost puppy
Casey can you give me a minute to settle down first l just got in Lena said to Casey, your in a good mood today
She says to me as l hung up my coat in the closet. I'm always in a good mood
When I come in to work Lena laughs at Casey comment, l take a seat at my desk and turned on the computer. Francesca has her assessment with Shannon this morning you know

How did she do this weekend Lena questioned Casey. If your asking did she speak to anyone, Lena l tell something is really wrong with that girl for her not to talk yet most of the children who come here talk on their second day Casey States. Casey that little girl has been through a lot, she's only been here a few days let her get adjusted first. We can't force her to speak right away, we need to gain trust before any else. She could shut down if moved to quickly, Francesca has to know she's safe and nobodies gonna hurt her here. Lena tries to get Casey understand that kids need to process being a new environment
We all can't be like you Lena the one with a child psychology degree and a minor in early childhood development. Casey commented
I worked my ass in college to make something of myself, I don't walk around bragging to you all about having experience with children

Girl what the hell, l heard y'all conversation all the way down the hall and Dr. Shannon heard. Why did you have to go pissed Lena, l think you like pressing her buttons. One day you she's gonna have enough and let you go, Lena's the head director of this place her and Sharon boot you right out on your ass
Lena's never raised her voice like that before. You better pray Stephanie doesn't come down here, her and wife are really good people who do a lot charitable work with helping these kids.
