I'm sitting here at the coffee house waiting for Lena to arrive.
I know she has tons of questions for me, and l am willing to explain everything to her. I wasn't sure if she was coming alone or not, l contacted my assistant to let her know l decided to take a later flight back to Los Angeles. Next month l will be doing a five month tour, l look out the window and see her getting out the vehicle with an older woman.
Who l'm assuming was Stuart's wife
I can't help to feel a twinge of jealousy in my heart, they walk inside the shop
I waved my hand trying to get their attention. Lena sees me but she doesn't look to happy, they over to my table and took a seat in the booth
What was so important that you needed to see. I have two new little ones at home with my wife, so let's make this quick as possible. Lena says to me, l don't think we formally met
I'm Dr. Margaret Adams she introduces herself to me. Oh l see Stuart went on ahead and got himself a doctor, well l'm impress. He was always attractive to black women
Dana says to mama, just as I was about open up my mouth to replied
Mama beat me to the punch. Look l don't know who the hell you think you are talking to me like this,
I'm not the one. Margaret States
As l was saying Lena l know you have some questions as to why I left you and your dad, l didn't expect to be gone so long. I went to see about a job in saint Louis, a man by the name of Clark came to the club where l work as a lounge singer. Long story short
I got linked up with a producer named Mark, he took me on as a solo artist. But you were always on my mind, I guess the years got away from me. So I figured it was too late for me to come, back into your life. I sent your Dad a letter requesting to see
You, he told me you were away in college. And to stay out your life
Dana tells me with tears running down her cheek, that seems all well and good. This is whole little snob story, is touching. You don't know how many nights I cried out for you by then, you probably erased me from your mind. I'm not looking to establish a relationship with you,
So if there's nothing left to say
I appreciate you explaining your side
I'll be leaving now l got up from the table, mama follows behind me outside to the car.
