After weeks of searching for Schools
For Francesca we finally found the perfect school. It was twenty minutes away, we went to the open house and meet the staff members of Piney Grove Academy. It seemed like an excellent school of course l had some concerns they have the older children up stairs and younger kids on the lower level, it's starts from kindergarten to eighth grade fortunately Francesca will only be here for a year and then transfer to Cedar ridge Private school. Since l'm still on leave from the group home
Stef and I have decided to stay at the cabin temporarily. Because we're having some upgrades done to the house, and the contractors won't be able to start on renovations until September. Because they have other projects their working on, l wanted to go with a different company but Stef said they were the best ones for the job, cause they gave us a discounted rate. Because Stef catered one Jeff's wife's functions in the past, he has his own team of workers. I know it was know way of talking her out this deal

Another thing we didn't realize
All new admissions has to take a entrance exam before getting into the Academy. She needs to pass with eighty or higher so I been working Francesca with the basics such
Reading, math spelling. Francesca knows all her numbers alphabets colors, shapes, she struggles with sounding out certain words. She takes the test in two weeks, l went to the barns and noble book store. Purchased a bunch of workbooks
For her grade level, l even got some on a second grade level. I went with the list the school gave me, on the curriculum they use. I can't believe they were giving younger kids book reports to do in kindergarten, l tried to stay positive for Francesca's sake
The principal told me about the tuition cost. The man thought he was dealing with some uneducated parents, l tried to remain calm through the whole interview process
I filled out all the appropriate forms
The price per semester was fifteen hundred dollars. Luckily we won't lacking in the finance department

Stef and I both have college degrees under our belt, this guy was beginning to rub me the wrong way

The other places didn't meet our expectations, we were giving a tour of school. The school was rather big, they separate the bigger kids from the younger ones when it comes to having lunch in the cafeteria, l thought they would keep them together, maybe it was for the better

Oh course I did all my research with a fine tooth comb. I know some of the things they mentioned wasn't in the handbook, l'm not sure l want Francesca to attend this school
I found another private school that's forty minutes away. I called the school to set up an appointment to visit and to what they had to offer, the name of this place was called cedar Creek charter. I have a meeting with them tomorrow, l'll have to take Francesca with me. My parents offered to keep the girls, while we all went to check out. I wanted to see what they were all about, before I make my final decision.
