Lena's: POV
It was three days before Thanksgiving
Lena just arrived at peck elementary School for Francesca's school play.
She entered in auditorium, she saw how nicely the stage was set up. Lena took a seat in the center row so she could see more clearly, the place was getting full with people. Lena wished that could have came along, she understood her wife had to cater an event at the restaurant and promised to meet up with them later on. The teacher walked up to the podium and begin speaking, l thank you all for taking time out of your business schedules. The students have been working extremely hard on this production, make sure all celler devices are on silent. Please hold your applause till after the children performing, without further delay
The lights were turned down low
A little boy came forward and begin talking about Thanksgiving. How the pilgrims and indians came together and become friends, then Francesca came out dressed up in a black and white dress. She began talking
I was so proud of Francesca for having the courage to stand in front in room full of people, it brought tears to my eyes. By the end of the performance everyone gave the kids a standing ovation, l clapped my hands and sat back down. The woman came back on the stage again, let's give these children another round of applause. She said to the audience
I clapped once again, we will be serving some lite refreshments in the fellowship hall. Thank you for coming out, the woman informed all the parents. I waited for Francesca to come, l hope she likes the little gift
I brought for her while Stef and I were at the mall. I purchased a charm bracelet, l wasn't quite sure if I should give it to her here or in private. Oh Mrs. Lena you came l turned around and saw Francesca who had a huge smile on her face, sweetheart I always keep my word. You did an amazing job, up there on stage Lena said
Thank you, Francesca said as she stares at Lena's stomach. Lena gives Francesca a hug, Lena knew she had to address the situation before Francesca asked any questions. They went to sit down, technically Lena didn't owe anyone an explanation of her pregnancy this was something her and Stef wanted for a long time. Mrs. Lena are you having a baby Francesca asks, yes sweetie I am my wife and I are expecting fraternal twin girls in six months. Lena explains, l thought you wanted me to come to stay with you for the holidays Francesca. Francesca, just because l'm pregnant that doesn't mean l've change my mind. I still do want you to come and spend Christmas with us. Lena hopes Francesca understands, okay when will l be able to come home with you Ms. Lena Francesca responds, the second week of December Lena replied. Honey I wish I could stay longer, l have a few errands l need to run. You did a fantastic job in the play
Lena replies, l appreciate you taking time out of your business schedule to attend my school play Francesca tells Lena. They both stand up and leave out, auditorium Lena walks Francesca to the fellowship hall. Francesca l'll see you soon, alright Lena hugs Francesca once again and walks down the hallway, and through the double doors. Now she's back outside
I walked over to my car and unlock it
Lena got in her vehicle stuck the key in the engine, and pulls out the lot
