Stef's: POV
I decided to take my new motorcycle on a test drive. I made sure to wear my helmet, it's been such a long time since I rode. It use to rewarding experience, Lena would come riding with me back in the day. I helped my dad built his Harley, he was the one who taught me how to ride at fourteen. Ma never knew if she did she never said anything to us about it
I was a Daddy's girl much like Lena was, Lena and the girls were sleeping when I left. I made sure to leave her a note telling her l would be back in a few hours, my bike was all fueled up
And ready to take it on the road to see what this baby could do. I walked cocoa and snowy before I headed out the house, l'm just ride along enjoying myself without a care in the world
I can't help but get loss in my own thoughts. That l didn't see the sign wide road ahead, l tilt to the right and to the left. I'm going at normal speed
I feel the breeze, the Streep hill up ahead. Seems a little bit dangerous
So I turned around to go the other way, l pay close attention to my surroundings there were no cars on this part of town. Guys were riding on their motorcycles, honking at me
As soon as I lifted my hand up in the air. I begin to lose my balance the bike jerks and takes me down a deep unfamiliar road, out of nowhere a long truck comes towards my direction. Going at 80 miles per hour
And l'm doing 60 which is the normal speed limit, he's not slowing down
Just like that bam. I'm lying flat on my back, and l think my leg is broken cause I can't move it. My damn arm is stuck under this motorcycle, everything was going well and this happened. I know Lena's gonna blame herself, somebody must've called for help cause I hear an ambulance and fire truck coming ahead. The man in the truck is hunched over the steering wheel
I don't believe it, he was driving under the influence. I am definitely gonna sue his ass for everything he asked, this is why jerks like him shouldn't be on the road. Ma'am can you tell me your name, l heard the EMT say. Stephanie Foster Adams and my wife's name Lena, can you please call her for me. I said to the young man, okay we're going to get you on a stretcher away. Your very lucky to have your helmet, it could have been worse. I think you'll survive, from what I can tell you have a broken leg and arm, l could be wrong. He tells me.
