A surprise baby shower

Lena's: POV
It's been two months since we applied to adopt Francesca. I'm beginning to lose hope, we'll never get to adopt her
Stef keeps saying that I need to be patient. My parents invited us over for a barque, it's summer time and it was hot as hell outside and I was feeling uncomfortable being eight pregnant, Stef treated me to a spa resort for the day to help get my mind off of things. I never felt so beautiful before, while I was there they treated me like queen. I got a complete make over, l got a pedicure manicure and so on. Stef brought me a pretty powder blue long sundress and now we're in the car on our to their house, since they live so far out. Where planning on staying over night, cause I know Stef's going to be to exhausted to drive back home. We've been on the road for over an hour now, we still have a little ways to go. I've having Braxton Hicks contractions for a few days now and their kicking my ass
Dr. Simone warned me about that the girls can arrive early. We've been through all the classes at the hospital
I pray these babies don't come this month, or l won't be a happy camper
This is all Stefanie's fault for getting me knocked up. We had hers and mine eggs mixed together, so they're have a mixture of both our DNAs combined. What the hell where stuck in the middle of a traffic jam on the expressway, l was tired due to lack of sleep. Stef has the air conditioner on
And l'm still hot, l decided to take a nap. Hopefully when I wake up
We'll be at our destination, Stef's doing everything to get me to calm down. I snapped out on her accidently
I later apologize for my attitude, we brought the dogs along with us. I packed my bag for the hospital just in case, Stef has the car seats in the trunk. Just to be on the safe side
We spoke with Francesca earlier this afternoon, she seems to be doing okay
They were getting ready to go to the YMCA for swimming lessons. Shannon signed her up for while the other kids were at day camp. The older children went to over night camp for two weeks, the other fifteen
Have been going to the YMCA every day. Nobody's heard anything from Casey in a while, Sasha said she left her a strange message on her voicemail. Saying she needed a place to stay, l hope wherever she is she's doing well. Sasha says Casey was having an affair with Annie's husband
I don't get involved in gossip. We drove by the condo recently and it was burned down to the ground, l wandered who could have done such a thing. Part of me feels bad for the way I treated her, Shannon told me that a check came in the mail. With no return address, it was made out to to the new Haven children's home

I wonder where she got the money from. Not that l'm complaining she paid her debt in full, l remember her telling me about a aunt who lived California, maybe she's down there with her. I feel like that's the right place for her to be at the moment, hopefully she'll get herself together and make a new life there instead of Seattle, l wish her much success
I feel the car stop moving. And I woke up, we were at the house. Their were cars parked in the driveway, they didn't tell us they were having guest over. Stef came around the car to help me get out, she had our pull along suitcase. Stef held out her hand for me to take, Stephanie what's going on here. I asked her she gives me a look telling me l'll have to wait and see
We walked up the pathway, and rung the door bell, Annabelle comes to the door and ushers inside. She takes the suitcase from Stef, Annabelle where's everyone at l asked her. There out back, she responds. Stef and I head to the back and everyone yelled surprise
All of our friends and family were here, even Sharon Sasha Simone aunt May was here. I starting crying because they gave me a surprise baby shower, even though I told them I didn't want none. My dad was on grill cooking up a storm, l walked over to take my seat. Everything was decorated in purple, with butterflies
Everyone knows how much I liked them growing up. You guys l don't what to say, l appreciate you all taking time out of your busy schedules to help us celebrate. This special occasion Lena tells all the important people in her life, Margaret comes over towards. Mama thanks so much for this, Lena gives Margaret a great big hug.
